I'm thinking of a new AI-related rule. I don't use AI to write texts but now I feel like I will be confused with AI. It's all about my communication style and the fact that I often think like a machine. Can anyone tell me if my communication style is similar to AI or not?

Your form of writing is quite authentic and I have always liked it. We are the same in that how we process our thoughts is almost robotic. Although, I’m a bit more expressive and pony-like in my behavior so perhaps I do not show the former well enough. But rest assured, no one will accuse you of AI because several tools are used to detect such devices as well as several tech ponies behind the scenes and real people to review it all.

AI writing style is relatively easy to recognize and your posts are nowhere near it  so don't worry, you're in the green.

We understand how important it is not to accuse innocent people, that's why any such case is investigated by multiple people, not just one person.

Well, I played a lot with GPT4.5 a while ago.

It's actually difficult to spot if an AI nature of text is hidden intentionally. But on default settings it's pretty much recognizable.

First sign: text is way too formal and polite. AI companies force their models to be this way to avoid reputation damage in case if someone will be offended by AI reply.

Second sign: text is really bulky. If you give to AI any text and ask to write an answer, it will split incoming text for pieces and mention any of them. For example if you say "Good morning! It's rain outside. Take an umbrella." AI may answer like "I wish a good morning to you too. Thank you for letting me know that it's rain outside. I definitely will take an umbrella."

Also grammar. AI text is grammatically correct usually. If mistakes aren't maden intentionally of course.

Do not compare yourself to a souless computer, there is a reason for people to communicate with each other, if the words come from yourself you're showing your heart and soul in them, what you write makes part of your spirit, start using AI and that we won't be able to see that human aspect of yours anymore, it's your choice

I was looking at the colors for the new iPhone just out of curiosity. And for the pro model all the color options were bland, grayscale colors. I hate how common boring colors like that have become. Every car is black, white, or gray. Phones are all black, white, or gray. Houses are white, tan/brown, or gray. Even game consoles are almost all black, white, or gray with no colorful special editions. Where's all the color, man?

Ordered something online and was offered a later delivery date while reducing emissions by 70%. Said no, and now while I’m reading all this about the Earth’s carbon cycle and whatnot, I feel a little bit guilty :U (also noting 2100 could be a critical year if we keep it up). I’ll reconsider next time if I don’t really need something that quick. I know about climate change but I tend not to be crazy on micromanaging.

I like to compare myself to a machine sometimes because I would like to be a machine. Like an adeptus mechanicus or a necron or a terminator even if I didn't have feelings. And if I had feelings, I would have the ability to regulate their power and turn off some. I adhere to the philosophy of antinatalism, which means that I believe that any positive feelings will be outweighed by suffering. Because suffering is the strongest feeling (or experience, I don't know exactly what word to choose). I mean that suffering is stronger than joy, so I would prefer to feel nothing or be able to control my feelings. About the heart and soul. I don't believe in the existence of the soul. If I understand correctly, when you talked about the heart, you meant feelings. Feelings and emotions arise in the brain, not in the heart.

@ComanderZhabikKlavik, human body is machine and emotions are important functions. If suffering is always stronger then something is wrong inside or outside and should be fixed. Don't ignore threat signals of yor brain and check up your engine regularly. Metaphorically of course  but consequences may be very real

Thinking if my stupid email address is blocking emails from would be employers. It accepted the company emails while applying (like uploading resume), but what about … anything else related?? My email has been blocking indiscriminately several senders for no reason, despite there not being anything on the block list. I don’t know…. I should transition. I should have but I shouldn’t have to. All those changes. Should only be deflecting previous subscribed emails, not new senders.

Yep, sometimes there's no destination point. Only directions to chose. And choice may be really scary. But also thrilling and exciting. I wish you a tailwind wherever you go.
