1. Please don't. The setting has been WAY overdone, and the idea of ponies being 'physically' superior simply makes no sense without a LOT of handwaving.

2. If you're going to make a TCB story, please make it hard sci-fi. The whole idea of the story is cliched by now, but there are precious few firm-hard stories that are actually good. And just remember, the HLF could easily kill ponies just like they can kill humans. Last I checked, ponies weren't made literally of titanium, meaning that a nice .50 BMG round will go through their head before they hear the gunshot.

1. I AM writing this story. As much ire as the setting has, I think it can be done well and want to try my hoof at doing just that.

2. It is relatively hard sci-fi but with the large but necessary compromise of magic in the setting. Nanomachines are starting to make life on Earth easier and the first stages of fully sapient Artificial General Intelligence are underway.

In my story, the reason ponies and other magical beings are physically superior is because of their very nature. They emanate a kind of field around them that slightly alters probability and physics. Pinkie is an anomaly in this fashion because her field is abnormally strong and pervasive.

I'm trying to convey a transhumanist message, just with magic instead of science; while still trying to respect the choice to remain human. For most writers, it's one way or the other. I say all species can get along in peace.

So with that said, do you have any constructive advice?
