DT is evil to the core, but Silver Spoon pretty much just goes along with whatever DT does, and her very name suggests she has never had to lift a hoof for herself or make her own choices. Maybe she is expected to live up to her family's achievements. Maybe she has self-esteem issues regarding that. Have you ever noticed how SS actually sometimes agrees with the CMC sometimes but DT always is the mean one. I think maybe in a future episode, SS might help the CMC but DT plots revenge. I guess that's natural, or more like supernatural since a bit of magic in the rainbow connected all of them. I'm a little confused by this statement. I don't remember what episode it was but we saw some of the Mane 6 and their telling the story of how they got their cutie marks and it had absolutely nothing to do with each other. Maybe you are talking about their Elements of Harmony influenced by each other? That was something that happened within their friendship. Cutie marks were not. I think he was talking about Rainbow Dash's Sonic Rainboom influencing them, which isn't all of them influencing eachother, lol. When I first started watching, I hated, HATED, the CMC. I thought the episodes were boring and I couldn't stand them, I wanted to get back to the story of Twilight and her friends. Then, as I watched episode with them not as the CMC, just as little ponies, I grew to like them each as individuals, and that helped me love them as a group all the more The only time lately I've found them annoying was in the comic when Chrysalis kidnapped them and they did nothing but talk about how they could use getting kidnapped to get their cutie marks. You may not be able to "earn" your cutie mark, but they're trying to discover who they are, and to do that, they're gonna try everything they can until they discover their talent and get their cutie marks. Whenever they hatch a plan they're in it together, so they do spend time as friends, just in a different way then you'd expect. As for "natural", well I can't argue with you much there. The reason they get in so much trouble is because, well, like I said earlier, they're just fillies. Apple Bloom is really impatient, Scootaloo doesn't think ahead much, and Sweetie Belle isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. The reason they don't see their obvious talent is because they're just not interested in it. Remember how AJ got her cutie mark? She wasn't interested in buckin' apples or farming at first, but in the end she realized that Sweet Apple Acres is where she truly belongs. We can even see how uninterested they are, Apple Bloom simply overlooked her creative abilities, Sweetie Belle said she dislikes singing in public, and Scoots quickly dismissed the idea of her being in charge of choreography because she just wasn't interested and would rather try making lyrics instead (a fine example of Scoots work would be Unknown From M.E.: The Theme of Knuckles lol) In my opinion, their gimmick has lost its charm. You can only say "Let's do [x] to earn our cutie marks!" before you start rolling your eyes. They're like the Team Rocket of MLP, except Team Rocket actually had their funny moments every once in a while. There needs to be more shit like the Babs Seed episode, where there's a fresh, legitimate problem that needs to be solved. Not just them dicking around with the same old song and dance. Just saiyan. And the mane 6 are right, they can't earn their cutie marks...of course, if they'd pay attention, all three have demonstrated their talents for their cutie marks lol.
