Well, I don't really have the time/energy to draw his character, but I figured I'd atleast take a stab at designing the cutie mark so that it could be used by someone else. From my experience, simply importing a cutie mark and then manipulating it to fit works so much better than trying to draw it right on the pony.

 

Not the cleanest of marks, but I don't do vectors, and, again, from my experience the cleanliness of the mark doesn't matter really when you shrink it down to fit inside the full image.

the cutie mark is hard to explan though i want it to be a cresent moon with a Octogon Sapphire beside it

It's not all that bad. And hey, at least you do commissions. xD

 

For some reason people here were impressed by my stuff to even buy art, but I feel like that'd be robbing. :P

Well, I can really on draw ponies without massive reference help xD And yeah, some people do commission me, mostly at conventions.

Oh, I don't use references either. Only if I draw something new, I just need to check how it looks like and then learn. :P Best way, you can't really learn by staring at references all the time. :)
