I: Raven the leader of the meeting had requested the members to formulate a plan. This is due to Raven claiming that it is rather terrible at making plans.

As quoted by Raven:

 

The Raven moved on to face Tempest, and accepting the silence of the other ponies as committing to the groups cause. "Unfortunately Tempest, I am not much of a planner or grand schemer; I am well informed, well funded and well connected but taking down such an opponent requires more than my mind has to offer, more I believe than any single pony's mind can offer.

 

 

II: Cryptical Code is the first one to speak and suggests a plan that emphasis on exploiting "desperation," and corrupting both sides, and using the public on the two warring factions.

 

Jade on the other hand states that she wants a different plan that is more subtle and also makes sure Canterlot is either unharmed or dealt with minimum damage. Which basically means puppet head.

 

Dorado wants to rule or have great influence on the new Equestrian government that favors him majorly. 

 

Then Merdyn's plan is to use the combination of Cryptical Code's and Jade's plans to form what is a near-perfect plan (as no plan is ever, if ever perfect, unless you are Creed.) Merdyn's plan also includes slaving Princess Luna to their side as a legitimate political figure that'll be a puppet for the group. 

Merdyn also hopes to use Cryptical Code's agents and stuff to attain his required resources to complete said plan. Merdyn also wishes to have Lady accept his ideas and would flutter his heart, which has a crush on Lady. 

 

III: Radiance is currently imprisoned for not following what the letter/Raven had wanted. This one is more recent is generally not important to most of us.

Hmmm before i write my post I shouldn't assume things so... do you guys think Starswirl the Bearded is alive during this time? He was alive when the princesses both ruled but they are immortal. I'm not sure if he lived long enough to see Luna become NMM.

Actually that is another good question that leads to a bit of interesting head cannon in the RP world I use as a base

 

Starswirl was the teacher of Luna and Celestia before they became alicorns, that unfinished spell we heard ("From one to another, another to one. A mark of one's destiny singled out alone, fulfilled." Granted even this was the unfinished spell, the spell that broke him had more verses to it.) that Twilight 'corrected' was what put an end to him. When Twilight used it the elements of harmony protected her and it funneled outward and diluted but effected her friends. For Starswirl when he used it the spell was solely focused on him, it split his personality into a couple extremely powerful magical beings, the one aspect that we know of being Discord. The other aspects should not be involved in this RP unless you guys go to EXTREME lengths and somehow end up where they are...

 

Heh heh even went and dug up the beginning of a fanfic I never continued which addressed his strongest aspect awakening when it felt the magical tremors of Twilight's transformation into an alicorn

 

(Shoot I forget how to do spoilers on my iPad :/ hmmm well if you don't want to read please try to ignore this wall of text)

 

Chapter 1

 

"...time heals all wounds."

 

Something was wrong, it resonated deep in the air. A surge of magic passed over the land, though it could be felt as a slight tremor and nothing more. Even to most sensitive of creatures it was only a subtle throb at the core of their being, as if something had been twisted.

 

The wave of magic unsettled all that it passed over; however its effects did not last long. The next day saw the passing of three more similar surges. The first of these waves was soothing and undid the havoc of the original. The second carried compassion and was quickly followed by the third which oozed magical potential and left all that it touched with a feeling of power to change for the better.

 

These waves were so... wrong, each worse than the last, an unnatural perversion of magic... mixed with harmony.

Far south of Equestria in a deep chasm beneath the land of shifting fire something stirred.

 

"Thou doth have our sorrow. We truly hoped thou would succeed... ...remember though time heals all wounds."

 

The cave was superheated, but still the air was stagnant. Little pockets of strange gases would mix igniting and slowly burn while rising to the ceil before they extinguished. They acted as the only source of light for the room.

 

Strange markings carved into the walls would become illuminated by the glowing gas briefly. Sand covered the cavern floor, piles made miniature dunes as if the cave floor mimicked the land above it.

 

Though one thing was different between this false dessert and the surface. A smooth spiraling tower stuck through the sand, no buildings could be built in the land of shifting fires and no architect could capture the elegance of a unicorns horn.

 

The first wave passed through this room leaving a slight red glow in the walls and a strange echo like a satisfied groan. The next day each of the other waves changed the glow deepening it from red to purple, deep blue then lightening to bright blue as the echoes became a disturbing whimper. However around the buried horn a red aura dimly formed and grew as if to push back the changing aura.

 

The final wave of magic washed over it and a burst of sand erupted into the air exposing a sand encrusted desiccated muzzle. Sand poured from it's mouth with a hoarse whisper, "Celestia."

 

"Thou doth have our sorrow. We truly hoped thou would succeed."

 

"Failure is still failure."

 

"Do not lose heart! Tis remarkably close to perfection. Come we shall assist you now, thou hast strained thyself to breaking."

 

"I need none of your pity!"

 

"Do not take such tones with us, we art friends. We care deeply for thou and thy safety. Give time, be at peace, tis only a set back. Remember time heals all wounds."

 

Packed sand cracked loose as a single eye opened to reveal a red and clouded pupil glowing like a shriveled ember. Sand shifted magically slithering from matted fur and down to bleed back into the cave's floor. The creature lifted its head free, its jaw dropped open and the last of the sand burst forth along with a scream.

 

"Celestia!"

 

The cavern exploded in a red aura and magic flames hotter than the sun then disappeared. Only a single light remained a clouded red ember of an eye still glowed.

 

"Time does nothing for fatal wounds."

Oh where there goes that chance at Starswirl being a puppet. XD Well if we were to we probably wouldn't have him be the king. However he is a well known trusted individual. His word is powerful and if we were able to twist it we could go places. Sadly we can't do that.

No worries that's part of something that make the RP story random and fun. I know people can't post all the time and all it does is change the story some I think it make the story more interesting.

Also I know that I listed this story as dark but I still feel a little squeamish and uncertain about what's basically a torture scene with Radiance. So sorry about that to everyone, I hope I don't push it into bad taste for anyone. Bad things will happen in this RP but I have no plans for it to be grimdark and details, but bad things will happen so yeah I'm not going to shy away from them if they fit the story.

Well I certainly hoped everyone would feel that way considering the concept of this RP, if it was D&D or W40k (seriously the RP they designed for that is amazing, my favorite RP system I've played) I wouldn't hesitate at all. But dealing with technicolored ponies on a site for them does make me more hesitant Not that it's going to stop me just wanted to clarify a bit of a line for everyone, lets not let the RP get into bad taste later. But yeah, also didn't want to be seen as a complete sadist... Though the Raven might be.

Heh, sometimes yes sometimes no. It can be quite fun for a kill em all ending and the like but there isn't much other than intrigue and excessive amounts of violence... So fun but its not a campaign that the party can even survive. XD

I'm alright with dark stuff. Even grimdark stuff. Hell, one of my OCs is a killer that kills ponies for fun and even uses their blood to make artwork... he was created for a grimdark RP... he's fun to play as...

Grimdark scares me though. When you delve into the deepest parts of your mind you come up with things so twisted and insane that you frighten yourself. I have gone too far a few times, and I kinda felt horrified that I could come up with some gruesome things...

I noticed your status update so I kinda knew what was going on for you but thank you so much for taking the time to reply and letting me know what was going on.

 

That's exactly the type of response I'm looking for; I mostly want to know if people have lost interest and I should open up new spots in the RP or even if I should start to consider calling it. The RP concept kinda revolves around all the players interacting with each other, so maybe with all our different schedules it was a bit too ambitious.

All this 'everyone in a circle' isn't really her style - not enough subterfuge, too many variables that she doesn't control.
