Believe me, I enjoy trolling game forums, if a post of mine were to get no response I would move on... Not gonna name any names, but most of you who replied to his topics didn't do that. Straight from the rules: Don't be a backseat mod. If you're not a moderator, don't act like one. If you see trouble, take ten seconds to report it and just move on with your life. The moderation will deal with it - that's their job, not yours. As has been mentioned a few times already, the best thing to do when you see trolling (or any other kind of trouble, for that matter) is to hit that report button and leave the thread. As amusing as it may be to reply, all this will do is keep bumping the troll topic to the top of the section. Perhaps an overseas mod could be added to clean up situations that occur during normal sleeping hours for USA/Canada time. Although the guys did a nice job burying the topic(s) in question below other topics and not making too big a deal out of it. Anyways, yeah. Bump. Swoop 2,278 December 18, 2011 Share December 18, 2011 (edited) While for the most part we don't seem to require any form of moderation regarding day to day posts, I believe it may be of use to have somepony on night-watch, to ensure the forums are kept clean while Zoop, Kurtiss, and Feld0 catch up on their beauty sleep. A possible alternative could be to bump up the restrictions which are placed on newer members, to prevent them from posting images or videos untill a specific post quota has been obtained, similar in nature to when uploading an avatar. While this may appear a little restrictive towards newer members, the extra effort required to initiate any sort of attack could help to deter any potential trollers and spammers that happen to show up. Perhaps with an bar, we could prevent any form of mass image spam like what happened today, at least to some degree.
