My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Twilight Sparkle

How did you find MLP Forums?: While kicking back in my hotel room on Saturday night at BronyCon 2012, I searched Google for a new brony forum home. This was the first result I found, I joined the following Saturday when I didn't have so much exhaustion or distraction, and haven't looked back since. I love this place, and I love you guys.

How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: On the last forum I frequented, somebody posted a thread in the general off-topic board (similar to our General Discussion and Forum Lounge) about this new My Little Pony. Most scoffed and derided it, but I among a few others decided to give it a fair shake. Mostly into the first episode and I fell in love with it. Powered through the whole first (and only) season in one night, becoming a brony on May 20th of 2011 before I had even heard the term "brony." Felt wonderful, and I've stuck with this ever since.

I became a brony on May 20th of 2011, before I had even heard the term "brony." My introduction to the show was as I said above, and when I gave it that chance I powered through the first season (which was the whole series at the time) in one evening. Best thing that ever happened to me, corny as that may sound. Prior to joining this fandom, I was a pretty angry guy for a multitude of reasons. Said anger and hostility was a product of the conditions in which I was raised defense against further harm, but not at all who I wanted to be or really was. The friends I came to know in the fandom and the cheerfulness of the show itself chipped away at that.

 

Twilight is my favorite pony, and Applejack is my second. There isn't really an order beyond that. Simply put, Twilight and I both have a mind for things factual and fantastic, and have both had to overcome similar social oddities. She's kindred to me, which is why I love her so much.

 

 

All of the above is how I got here, but as for who I am: I'm just a 25 year-old guy living in Virginia, making a living and playing games and Skyping in his spare time. Most of what I play these days is Planetside 2 and World of Tanks, but I have a ton of games I dabble in on occasion.

 

Star Trek is a long-time passion of mine. Been a Trekkie since I was a wee lad and The Next Generation was still fairly new. The original series remains my favorite of them all, though.

 

Ah, yes, I almost forgot about a very important detail... I love coffee. More than anything (except Twilight). I drink it morning, noon, and night, always with a cup in hand when I'm sitting here in front of my computer. Dark roasts are the best, and the only proper ways to consume coffee are straight or with Irish cream (the hard variety). I'm all about it. This is something I'm more passionate about than I should be, I'll admit.

 

 

So there you have it: the bare basics of Artemis. Not much interesting stuff there, but enough to get you started.
