The Lord of the Rings has some great characters. Who is your favorite? This includes characters from The Hobbit as well.

 

Samwise Gamgee is my favorite. He is such a good friend. Plus, hes a badass.

Bolg from the movies. Why? He finally made Legolas bleed. That alone is a feat that makes him stronger than anyone in Middle Earth save Legolas

Gandalf, of course. I have a bit of a bias for the spellcasters, but he's the freaking man! You know that balrogg fight? Well that fight happened over the span of two full days. And this was before he became Gandalf the white. He's also immortal because he's basically Middle Earth's version of a demigod.

 

Oh, and there's also the fact that he's the one that essentially started the journey. If he didn't have knowledge about the ring, the nazghul probably would have taken it for themselves pretty quickly.
