Solution An Old Head 4,815 May 9, 2014 Solution Share May 9, 2014 (edited) Nope. Donations give you Donor status for a certain amount of time, based on the amount you donate towards the site. The duration rate is three days of donor status for every $1 you donate. So if you were to donate $10, for instance, you'd get 30 days of donor status, as that's 3 times 10. You will obtain all available donor perks during those days. Subscriptions are an ongoing alternative to donations, where you sign up to donate a monthly $10 and retain the donor perks for as long as you're subscribed. One could technically call that the "permanent" method of donating In short, the answer to your question is no. It all depends on how much you donate. Feel free to read more in this FAQ entry.
