open Team Fortress 2: the new team

~Sole~

Recommended Posts

The Red and Blu mercenary teams have been fighting a very long time, so they decide to go on a group vacation! But the administrator, as we all know, hates fun. So after grudgingly allowing the two teams their much appreciated break, she hires a group of fresh new faces to kill each other for her amusement. Can the newbies survive? Lets Find out!

Dante sighed and sat up from his bunk as he heard the loudspeaker activate "it is time for your first mission, report to the battlefield at once! Your mission is to capture the enemy intelligence, you have ten minutes until it begins!" He heard the mysterious administrator blare, before hearing silence once more. "Dammit, didn't think it'd be this sudden..." He mumbled, before boredly walking toward his team's intelligence room. He knew he was better off waiting things out there and laying sticky traps, plus he didn't feel like chatting with anyone for the ten minutes they had of free time.

(Psst, the level they're in is 2fort, and it's Capture the Flag(intelligence). Post with your character from here, the round will start soon.)

Henry heard the announcement, and went over to a charging station in the Spawn room. there sat Mecha-Medes, a mechanical bird he had found on his way over here. Grabbing it, he turned it upside down and turned it on. It soon clambered to life. It cooed to him in a mechanical voice, then sat on his shoulder. "Bwarrelll...RED... Medic..." it said softly.

Walking over to his seat, Henry sat down. He looked over his Medi-gun once more to make sure it would work properly. After all, he didn't want to break someone's heart because of a machine failure, now would he? He looked around, taking note at the few people (OoC: Is this ponies or people?) who had spawned so far.

Raquarius sat up from his sentry, looking up at the speaker. "Huh" he said, not having expected it to happen this fast. He swiftly changed into his gear, tilting his Tin Gallon so it shaded his eyes. He picked up his Jag, his Rescue Ranger, and his Wrangler, and spawned in his base. He noticed that literally nobody/pony else was in the spawn room. "Well, shoot"

Hearing the administrator's cue, André smiled widely and chuckled in anticipation of the battle to come. "Those puny red insects are gonna get a taste of Natasha's fury! I shall mow them down like mere weeds! Hehehehe!" Exclaimed the BLU heavy, as he stashed a tasty sandvich into his jacket pocket, before hefting his trusty mini-gun, Natasha, and eagerly walking towards the exit, waiting impatiently for the mission to begin.

"Heheh. Perfect timin'," said Rob with a smirk as he just grabbed his scattergun out of his locker while hearing the announcement. He has beaten and shot many people that threatened him, his friends, and family. He made many enemies back in the past, but now, he thanked God for the past events as it all got him ready to trespass the RED base. "Nothin' can get me more hyped than right now," Rob thought.

Rayquarius ran out towards the large Blu base, before stopping, shaking his head, and turning around. He started to head down towards the intelligence room, thinking of exactly how he should set up his sentry and dispenser. He swung his jag around his hand a couple of times, smirking

Gonzales smiled and sat back in the observation room. He had enough camera angles to satify him with fighting all the time, but kept a special eye on the BLU team. For a friend, he reminded himself. He pulled up some coffee, took a sip, spat it out, grumbled, and went to get a warmer cup. Shouldn't have waited too long for it to cool...

Rayquarius saw the scout run passed him, and smiled, seeing he wasn't going to be alone in this. He started to head down towards the intelligence room, thinking of exactly how he should set up his sentry and dispenser. He swung his jag around his hand a couple of times, smirking

(Pssssst! Guardian! You're on RED! XD)

Alex checked all the components of his toolbox to make sure they were working. He put his pistol in its holster, grabbed his wrench, put on his goggles and was out the door. He ran down the stairs toward the intelligence room. Once he got there, Alex surveyed the room for a decent location to place his sentry. He decided to do to the corner of the room, and so he placed down a dispenser and got to work.

Quack. Totally a Ducklett.

@@The Candlekeeper,

So, you're an observer, or a spectator, if you will?

Rayquarius began working on his sentry, setting up the tripod legs before beginning to fabricate the high caliber machine gun and self-reloading mechanism that all sentries require.

OOC:Is it alright if there are some custom things with the building/weapons?

As his dispenser leveled up once more, to level 3, he placed down another toolbox. A sentry popped out of the new one and began to construct itself. He hit it a few more times and it gained 2 Gatling guns. Alex took a bite out of his new york ham and cheddar sandwich, and continued to hit the sentry until it reached level 3.

Rayquarius finished up the rocket launcher on his Sentry, attaching it, and then started to work on his dispenser, running out to grab an ammo pack, then running back, grabbing the oxygen tank near him and starting to work, grabbing a few spare rockets that were nearby, and taking some ammo belts out of the Ammo Crate

(check the Planning part for a little bit of important info.)

Yessiree, I am a spectator, Guardian. :D

Gonzales came back to the monitors with a fresh cup of coffee. He took a sip but quickly spat that one out, muttering, "too hot." It'd cool, of course, like anything, except wars. He mulled over the name sheet, dedicating each name to memory, and looked over the monitors to identify the camera for each person. Leaning closer to the monitor for... who... ah, Suri, he muttered to himself, "speaking of hot..." but, in leaning forward, knocked over his coffee cup. He screamed out as the scalding-hot coffee spilt all over him, and he quickly dashed to the nearest sink.

Mieczysław a.k.a the BLU Medic calmly strapped on his Quickfix backpack while he loaded his crossbow – the Crusader's Crossbow, everyone called it – with seemingly razor sharp needle "arrows", sterilized and shiny to prevent dirty stains from getting into his weapon. He always liked to keep things clean. Mieczyslaw didn't really know why; it was bound to get bloody on the battlefield, anyway.

Speaking of the battlefield, he checked the area outside the spawn room. Teufort. He had been learning every turn and every corner of the place, studying war videos of what must be the deadliest place in Hale's dominion. Not surprising, if you included the fact that the town had a "no-mans-land" bridge and sewers. He wondered how the civilians manage to stay alive, let alone clean up the mess. Guess it was one of the mysteries he would never know.

Mieczyslaw ran out of the spawn room, moving down the stairs until another person rushing out of the room. A BLU Scout. In a quick flash, the BLU Medic fired a healing beam at the Scout. Immediately, Mieczyslaw felt the effects of the Quickfix, his pace suddenly speeding up and moving just as fast as the Scout himself. "Thank you," Mieczyslaw said. He needed to find someone more meaty for him to heal...where was the Demoman and Heavy when he needed them?

Rob ran just outside of his base with the BLU medic, Mieczyslaw, up on the battlements. He held his Force-A-Nature out, ready for anything to happen, wether it be a Heavy, a Sniper, whoever. "I 'dink you should see your faces after being shot dead," taunted Rob.

He was more ready than ever. To shoot. To beat. To help. To kill. To capture the intel. To win.

[QUESTION: do people respawn after being killed (video game standards) or do they just die, and that's it?]

Rayquarius stayed in the intelligence room, watching the security cameras.

"Damn" he said, frowning. "I've got nobody to help me here." He sat down, pulling out a small bottle of wine, and opened it, inhaling the aroma, taking a swig, and sighing. "there must be at least 5 BLUs, and only 1 RED, so how in the seven hells am I gonna do this?" He took his wrench, screwing a small bolt on his sentry back on, taking off his Tin Gallon, and putting it on the sentry. "Now ain't that a cute little gun"

Ilse spawned and look around in spawn for any other mercs. She saw Henry.

"Hey,Medic! Get your feet on to the battlefield maggot! We got intel to capture! You maggot!" Ilse picked up her Rocket Launcher, loaded her shotgun and put her shovel away. She puts her cap on."Let's show those BLU hell!" Ilse ran outside toward the bridge, she took a small rocket jump and landed infront of her base.

The Engineer perked up when he saw a RED soldier suddenly begin flying across the battlefield, rocket launcher in hand, and Camo Cap on head. He immediately began running back up towards the spawn, ready to begin building a teleporter, deciding to just let it build itself this time. After he set down the Teleporter, he went into the Ammo Closet, grabbed the necessary materials, and began to run into the open, trying to reach the Blu Sewers.

Rob then took the leap and went underwater. He traveled by the pipes to the RED base, to give the enemies a surprise. He ran upstairs... and halted right by the doorway. He saw nobody so far... So then he ran with his Force-A-Nature in his hand, heading for the intel... running... running. He arrived at the RED Intel room, and stopped by those two hallways to the RED Intel. There could be a sentry and an Engineer there. "Crap," he thought. "I want to know if dere are any... but I can't take any risks... if only we had a Spy or Demo here."

After his sentry was level 3, Alex jogged upstairs to the main spawn and placed a teleporter right by the door. He turned back and went down to the intel room, where he placed the exit. After waiting by the dispenser for a little bit, he had gotten his teleporter to level 3 aswell.

"And now... we wait." He thought. "Hope there aren't any ubers ready."

(OOC: Sorry guys! Only just woke up over here! :P )

Hearing the alarm to signal the start of battle, Alfred set down his morning cup of tea. "Well, it seems it's time for us to begin..." he said to himself, a small smile playing on his face. He got up and went to the supply lockers. Taking up his preferred choice of available weapons and gadgets, he left the base and strolled off towards the field of battle. As he reached the main battlefield, he quickly dived into the water and swam over to the RED sewers. "Another delicate operation..." he thought to himself.

As he began trudging through the narrow sewers, he took out the Spytron 3000, setting it to RED soldier. After the haze of smoke cleared, he continued, now disguised, along the passageway.

OOC: Aw really, we started in the middle of the night? Oh well, better late then never.

Suri had heard the announcement, and sprung up off of the chair she had been sitting in. She wasn't tired, sleep is for losers, after all. She grabbed her mask and threw it over her nose and mouth. Then she looked at her collection of flamethrowers. Hmmm. "Psst, pick the Backburner." She whispered to herself. "Shut up Pedro!" She yelled back, again, to herself. Suri proceeded to grab the Phlogistinator, then ran out of the Red base, into the battlefield.

Rayquarius ran into no trouble on the way to the BLU sewers. He put a teleporter down inside of the small room near the stairs leading up to the BLU base. He wiped a small dollop of water from his face,  before turning around and headed back the way he came, hoping to get to his Sentry nest before anybody could get to it.

Casey woke up from a long nap to see what the ruckus was. He looked to the RED base and mumbled to himself "Mmph, mmph mmmph."

(Hmph, those people.)

Casey decided to get his scoped flare gun (whoops, was going to mention he had that) and head atop the base. He saw a lot of fire. It made him brighten up a little and start happily chanting while finding his target. He had shot, but narrowly missed the RED Sniper. *Pyro takes off mask slightly "who's better now, doofus?"

(Guys, the round hasn't started yet...)

Dante walked into the intelligence room and simply grunted to the BLU engie and leaned against the table where the briefcase sat. As he did he pomaded his sticky launcher and shot several stickies around the doorframes to the room, as well as a few on the floor. He chuckled at the thought of the unfortunate RED that would unknowingly be running into a death trap. As he sat there he drew his trusty Eyelander sword and swung it around a few times, he wanted to keep it at the ready in case his stickies failed to kill an intruder

Suri scoped the area, mmh. She looked around and saw her team's engineer, Rayquarius, was it? He was holding a toolbox, so maybe he was working on a teleporter. She pulled her mask down, under her chin. "Hey, Ray!" She shouted, waving. She glanced around, before looking back to him. "Where's the healer going?"
