I'm currently unsure about using the Art discussion thread as a place to pitch my ideas for fanart/videos/etc, since I'm just sharing them and not really working on them, so I'm just gonna share this song that I made before I joined the forums. Enjoy.

A few changes have been made to the song, so here's the new version. Credit goes to Matackable for giving me advice on improving it.

As long as you're posting your music to the Non-Pony Art section of the Octavia's Hall you'll be alright!

Anyway, I've already listened to this track and as I said before I think this track has great potential! the melodies you use are suiting and the structure of the song is well thought out! Not too long and not too short which is good!

My words of criticism for you right now would be to really get a hold on how proper EQ and compression works. Throughout listening to this track, I noticed many things in it that dampened the clarity of the song. The most notable being the bass kick that you use. It sounds too boxy and the delay effect placed on the kick is a bit repetitive and unnecessary to have for something that's supposed to be providing the bottom that you want to feel in songs such as this.

My advice for that would be to get rid of the delay and start doing some proper EQ on that bass kick. Cutting out some mids and improving the low end on the kick will definitely bring some life to the kick and help deliver the proper "ommph" that you want to feel in a bass kick! Don't over due it though!

Then of course I'd suggest applying EQ to the rest of your instruments. Look up some articles on proper EQ because it'll DEFINITELY help you in bringing more clarity and life to your music! Don't forget to look up articles about compression as well!

Hope this helps you out and feel free to ask me any questions! Good luck with your music and great job again!
