She saw Jared trying to comfort Apisves, Kage sitting by himself and the Ice-type stting away from everyone else, possibly trying to not freeze anyone nearly as quickly. Fey smiled internally but on her face, it seemed that she had a neutral expression on her face.

"If I wanted to bite anyone I would have to move closer to the living freezer. I'm already freezing over here, I mean sure, I can understand that he may not be able to control it, but it doesn't mean I have to like it." Suddenly his mannerisms change, "yes you do, you cannot be mean to everyone." "Yes I can". He then realized he was arguing amongst himself. "Great now I look crazy, and this doesn't happen anywhere near enough to suggest an evolution so I'm stuck as Mr.Crazy."

He listened as they others spoke, as well as when two names were called up to come to some office.

"Quite a few interesting faces here... I hope they are nice..." he spoke low to himself as he looked around with a small smile on his shaded face.

Just after a minute, he let out another sigh of cold mist, saying "Oh my...", before he practically bangs his head into the desk in front of him, now seemingly asleep, as the cold air fairly close to him grew colder.

"Fair enough." Rune replied. "But I really think we should be getting to the office right now, Stark made it seem urgent." He urged, holding the door open for her. "And if you want to think of it as a dancing ribbon, I suppose that's an apt comparison, it just feels like it would be a better comparison for a weapon like a flail that has a deal of unpredictability to it. The reason I said 'Think of it as an extension of your arm' is because you don't want to allow the sword to get caught anywhere and bend back where you are holding it, i.e. your hand, just like you wouldn't want your elbow to bend backwards."

Synthia nods and sheathes the sword, "Well, let's be off." She hooks his arm and lets him lead her to the office, curious as to what the princciple had to say. There was a small twinge of nervousness left over from younger days, when the principle was someone to be feared and intimidated by rather than your boss, but not enough to immobilize her with a panic attack, as it may have done prior to now.

As the pair approached the main office, they waited outside the principle's office and Rune asked "So, what do you think he's calling us down for? I mean, we can't have done anything wrong could we?" Rune chuckled, remembering the time he was caught sharing a bed with Synthia back in the old academy.

Hearing their voices outside his door, Stark gestured for Orion to let them in. The Staraptor cawed and flew over to the door, turning the handle with it's taloned feet. Orion opened the door to nearly it's fullest and waited for the two teachers to come in. "Come in, and take a seat. Don't worry, in case my announcement seemed dire. Something's come up."

Rune entered, assuming Synthia was right behind him, he left the door open. "So, what's the 'Something' you're referring to?" Rune asked, curious. "No students getting in trouble so early in the year right? I only ask because that was a bit of a problem at the academy Synthia and I attended."

Stark shook his head as Orion shut the door and quickly flew back to his desk. "No no, nothing like that. But I'd prefer not to talk about the something. It's personal but incredibly serious, and it will render me incapable of running this school of mine, sadly. Now normally we would get someone qualified to take my position, but no one is able on such short notice. What I'm trying to get at is that I believe you are capable enough to run this school, Mr. Blade. I brought in your wife just so she'd know as well. I know it's very sudden, but what do you say?"

"Well, it is quite sudden, but if you need me to take the reigns, I'll do it." Rune replied. "I just remember you told me that this was your dream job to open a school such as this. It's such a shame that you have to leave, but I won't stop you from leaving if that's what you wish to do."

Synthia had followed Rune, but at the thought of her husband running an entire school.... "Bwahahahaaa! Ahahahahahaaaaa! Oh, boy. Oh, I'm sorry honey. Just... think about Principle Rune the swashbuckling task master, disciplinarian, doing paperwork." She coughs, "Please continue."

Stark smiled lightly. "Mr. Blade, I can guarantee you this is not what I wish. But I have to, so I have to sadly transfer my position." Stark jumped a little at Synthia's sudden outburst of laughter but a smile quickly grew. "I'm sure Mr. Blade will need someone to help him out for a while. I'm sure you would be able to help him out, Mrs. Blade."

"Well, I should probably start Skills class then, the kids are probably getting a bit restless." Rune said. "Synthia, I'll see you back at the dorm afterwards, the dinner shouldn't need anymore prep between now and then." He said as he left the room and headed to the hall that held skills class.

Rune stepped in to the classroom and felt a chill. 'Someone's going to need to learn to control their temperature incontinence, that's for sure.' He thought to himself. "Welcome everyone, to skills class. Normally, you would have our Headmaster Mr. Angels presiding over you, but something has come up and he's given me the responsibilities of running this school and this class in his absence." Rune noted. "So, all of you have some form of ability that makes you special, the reason you are here. Some are a bit more flashy than others, and some are quite more demonstrable than others. For example, my ability is to sense an opponents next move in a fight of any kind, but this is after years of refinement. At the beginning, when I was about your age, I had to know the opponent was there, it had to be a sword fight, and it only gave me a vague idea of where I was going to be attacked at, not really how. Sometimes it just wouldn't work altogether. As long as you work for it, I can guarantee you that by the time the year is over, you will have made a significant improvement with your abilities." He reassured. "Now, are there any questions?"

"Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Rune Blade. I'm also the head of the fencing club at this academy." Rune introduced himself. "I also should probably say that if anyone needs assistance with this class outside of normal class time, I can generally be found in the fencing studio near the gym."

Sne was still lying with his head on the desk, snoring lightly as the teacher came in. He slowly woke up without lifting his head, listening to what was going on before slowly lifting himself up and looking around. "Ah, another one..." he said quietly with a small smile, looking at the new teacher.

 

He coughed up a small cloud of cold mist to clear his throat, in case he had to speak.

Kage was glad that skills class was finally beginning . The class had almost descended into chaos! Their new teacher seemed like he'd be very interesting, to say the least. He wasn't sure where their headmaster, who was supposed to be taking the class, had had to go, but it must have been very bad timing to have to leave on the first day!

Fey looked at the teacher worriedly. She now knows that the principal, who was meant to apparently be taking the class, left and left another teacher in charge. He asked for questions but Fey didn't have any she wanted answered at the moment. She listened to some of the other questions that the other students posed and found out that his name was Rune Blade or Mr. Blade. She waited to see when the practical part of the class would start.

"Excellent question, yes. I do. Meetings are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4 pm." Rune explained. "I teach fencing as a club and general swordplay if you request it." He continued. "Is that all of the questions for now? I'm sure you all want to begin class, if nothing else to get it over with faster, judging by the looks some of you have." He scanned over the classroom and looked at the Kakuna boy, the Ninetails girl, and the Deino boy. He pointed at the three of them and said "You, you, and you. I want you to come to the front of the classroom and demonstrate, to the best of your ability, what your talent is.

Rune folded his arms. "Well, that's no way to think. Sure, you may have the compulsion to bite things, but that might not be it. There's always the possibility of having a strong bite strength, stronger teeth, whatever. And the bite strength we actually can measure." He searched through the desk and found a small metal bar, not much bigger than a dumbbell, with a meter on the side, displaying force in pounds. "Normally, the average human bite pressure is about 100-150 pounds." He explained, as he took out a disposable wipe and cleaned off the instrument. "Now, bite down on the metal part in the center." Rune instructed.

"Uh, ok?" He walks up to the teacher and grabs the bar. "This is unusual." He bites hard on the bar, increasing the pressure more and more, staring at the kakuna, he gets an idea, and tries to literally snap the bar, hoping it does to prove that he isn't as useless as a walking caccoon.

Rune noticed that the boy was straining a bit hard and said "Alright, alright, no need to pull a muscle here, it's purely for demonstration purposes." He said, as he took the meter out of the boys mouth. "Incredible." Rune said. The meter showed the highest pressure recently applied to it, and it had shown 350 pounds as the maximum pressure. "350 pounds. So, your biting is the special talent after all. And you likely have some secondary abilities, such as much more resilient teeth, judging by the fact that your teeth still all seem to be unharmed, at least to someone who isn't trained as a dentist." He cleaned the meter again and replaced it back in to his desk. "Alright, what was your name again? I don't think I caught it. Or, you know what, before we continue, how about I just get the names of everyone in here?" He suggested.

Fey put her hand up when he mentioned that he wanted everyone's names. "Uuh ... n-n-names? M-m-my name is F-F-Fey L-Lin, sir." Fey told him and put her hand down. She hated speaking out loud in front of everyone but if the teacher asked, then she would answer as best she can.

"The name is Kenji, Kenji Miyafugi. Deino gijinka, and.." as he is introducing himself, he starts arguing with himself again. "Whats with the boring introduction, you know, you'll never prove anything by being like that"-"shut up, dammit, just stop talking to me." Looking around, he realizes what just happened and swears loudly.
