Azureth 687 May 25, 2014 Share May 25, 2014 Are there any episodes you think really pushed the boundary of what it supposed to be appropriate for the shows rating? Two that come to mind for me are Bats! and Twilight's Kingdom.
Everleaf 541 May 25, 2014 Share May 25, 2014 Twilight's kingdom was a LITTLE over bats I was fine with non too bad... The deepest of the Everfree!
ShadowPirateX 600 May 25, 2014 Share May 25, 2014 Not really. After all, the G1 series did feature a villain that threatened to decapitate a baby dragon. "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings" ~ Optimus Prime
Banul 3,831 May 25, 2014 Share May 25, 2014 I think the even the fight scene in Twilights Kingdom was pretty tame compared to what some kids shows get away with. I never feel like MLP is pushing the ratings.
firetorn 187 May 25, 2014 Share May 25, 2014 I don't think they have ever come near the rating boundary. Sure the episodes you've named probably came the closest but they are still way far from being considered boundary pushers.
Pastel 7,630 May 25, 2014 Share May 25, 2014 (edited) This: or this: maybe? I don't think so. I only see Twilight's Kingdom fight scene. Bats!? Why? Edited May 25, 2014 by Blobulle
GenderIsAnIllusion 2,177 May 25, 2014 Share May 25, 2014 Nope.... There was that one alcohol joke in the episode where spike burns that important book..... But I doubt that was on purpose XD My peep is against bullying.... Denim&Venöm 19,562 May 26, 2014 Share May 26, 2014 (edited) I always felt that Inspiration manifestation was darker than the other episodes, then of course there was the fight scene in Twilight's Kingdom, not that I'm really complaining about either. Which brings up the question: what can MLP do to push the TV-G rating? Edited May 26, 2014 by Denim&Venom

ghostfacekiller39 23,860 May 26, 2014 Share May 26, 2014 Guys Sexy, sweaty, dirty, Applejack eating that apple You guys I was reading through this topic, and I was like "How has no one brought that up yet..." All hail Dattebayo, our lord and/or savior Yeahh - the only time that even comes close is the sexy AJ seen and the hardcore creeper Trenderdouche. This show is really tame in pushing the boundaries, but it still manages to be entertaining and have humorous moments. It's literally able to appeal to everyone who doesn't suck 3 He who is Positively Obsessed With All Things Rarity!!! Check out the Rarity Fan Club! SolidTwilight 383 May 26, 2014 Share May 26, 2014 Not so much pushing the rating so much but this is by far the most "adult" I think I have seen on the show. making a refinance to a very R rated movie (and person) about heavy, hardcore drug use. I don't think that it was a mistake because no kid would ever know that it was a refinance to that movie or hunter s tomsion, and if they did, the damage has already been done.

Don't forget about the reference to The Big Lebowski, a movie that says"f*ck" roughly 327 times. 1 ^Click for my Deviant Art^ You truly are the Rosa Parks of not understanding what r34 is. SolidTwilight 383 May 26, 2014 Share May 26, 2014 (edited) Guys Sexy, sweaty, dirty, Applejack eating that apple You guys I was going to post a photo (looks like someone beat me to it) of this but after looking at it your right, that was defiantly not G raided at all. it looks like something you come across on a R34 sight. maybe I have watch to much porn in my life, but that is not something that should be on a kids show. also I want to add simple ways is my lest favorite episode of the show. not for that seen, I just think the hole episode was bad. and don't for get about the earth pony remark that tenterfoot made. Yup yup. Don't forget about the reference to The Big Lebowski, a movie that says"f*ck" roughly 327 times. also Just wanted to say I am 100% ok with both of these reference because like I saying before, no kid would ever be "hurt" by this because with out knowing about it (and if they did know, this is not going to make it any worse, and this is not going to make them look for these movies pr say) they as just pony/discord in a funny outfit. Ace O. Jade 122 May 26, 2014 Share May 26, 2014 I've always wondered what would've happened if one of those arrows actually hit their target in "Daring Don't"... But cartoons have done so much worse than that.
