Yes it does it weighs considerably more than fat, there are tons of weight lifters and football players who weigh 230+ pounds but don't have that much fat on them. I weigh 315 pounds but have been told that I look more like I weigh 240-250. Big Mac would only be considered overweight on the BMI index which is a seriously flawed and discredited way to measure whether or not someone is overweight/obese because it only factors in height and weight and not other important factors like body type, amount of fat vs muscle mass, bone density ect...

I think it's more muscle than anything, men who work in the country do tend to get pretty buffed up.

I think this pretty much sums up the whole discussion! 

Though I always thought of Big Mac to be older than most ponies, so that would explain a bit too. Pulling that plough around must be really taxing on him though, considering how hard it was for Twilight to pull it around in the episode "Winter Wrap Up"!
