  1. You have the concept of what they sound like down, but the accents need work. Where are you from? I'm detecting an accent on you, I'm thinking Cajun, but it might just be how it's mingling with the other ones. It's hard to do another accent over your original one. That's why I have trouble with certain accents, because finding the nuances between accents with the same base is tough. Like Cockney and Yorkshire and Chav… they're tough for me to differentiate. Or Mexican and Puerto Rican. I'd work on the general accent first: the base one Everypony else has in the show, then try again. It'll take time, but it's worth it. Also, mind doing one of your natural voice? I'd love to hear it. One: it's probably an accent I don't have yet, and two: I want to see an example of your acting, not just your voice mimicry.
  2. Wow, I just was thinking similar, actually. At least of 1-3. I was thinking because the Dazzlings lost their music mojo when the gemstones exploded, they find autotunes. And the cutie mark thing: how did the others react? I mean, wouldn't Apple Bloom and Big Mac notice Pinkie Pie switching with Applejack? And Sweetie Belle seeing Applejack in her sister's shop?
  3. Yeah, it's the 2012 April. I might make the 1987 April later. It's just mixing the art styles that I need to get used to. The '12 April is cgi, so it's easier I convert to the MLP style (at least imo), plus, I have more frames of reference. I haven't seen 87 TMNT in ages! Gotta brush up. Yay! Thanks! I'm gonna work on Leo next I think. I need to practice Casey more before I try ponyfying him.
  4. So… a while back I drew Leo, Mikey, Raph, and Donnie as ponies… so I decided to try drawing April. I'll do Casey at a later date. And maybe redo the turtles but better. Eventually. I might even write a fanfic for it. When I get around to it.
  5. We all start somewhere, and for a newcomer, it's a great start. Especially tackling a voice as complex as Discy. I'll add you to the skype group. Well, once I add you to my skype list.
  6. I'd say without. Or, if you want them in, use a colour closer to the main colour, like just a shade lighter or something.
  7. I'll add you to the main post, and do you have a skype? I can add you there, too. I have one comment on the Discord (haven't watched the Big Mac one yet): It's good for a start. But Discord is a creature of fun and playfulness. When he's talking to Celestia, he extends his words, makes them almost sing-songy at spots. But as a beginning point, that's pretty good. I'd say keep working at it. Watch the episodes with him and copy his words over what he's saying. It'll help with the inflection. It's what I do (and what at least some other VAs do, if not all) to get the right voice. Discord is a tough voice to emulate, so even being decent is a challenge. You're off to a great start there. I definitely could tell who you were trying for, just try to add more fun to his voice. I mean, it's JOHN DE LANCIE! How can you not have fun just trying to get his voice?! If I had a deeper vocal range, I'd be in Q-voice at all times! :Shifty eyes: Sorry... ask anyone, I can go on and on and on and.... well, you get the idea... when it comes to Q/Discord.
  8. So is mine. Hey, if it works, why not use it for everything, right? At least as far as usernames. passcodes are another story. It seems I did add you. just not to the guild for some reason... but yeah, if you want to work on those lines some time, I'm available in the mornings.
  9. I also auditioned for Zecora, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity, so here they are: I love doing Zecora. She's so much fun, and absolutely one of my fave characters besides Discord.
  10. He said to check your emails, he sent you something. I'll keep looking for an animator, but besides actual friends who animate, it feels awkward poaching animators from other projects for a project I'm not on, so I have to tread carefully so as not to seem like a spy or anything, you know? But I'll keep looking.
  11. Here's my take of the Narrator. I'm going to try for the others later.
  12. Do I have you on Skype yet? We can call and I can help you with pronunciation. Sometimes hearing it helps a lot! That's why we have the VA Guild.
  13. I know some people who use frame by frame,I can ask them. I don't know many who do the puppets, but I'll ask around.
  14. There's a few I can ask, but I can't promi anything until I've spoken with them. As far as the animating, do you care if it's frame by frame vs puppet? (As in hand drawn vs manipulating models) or could it be either? Knowing that going in can help me find animators faster.
  15. Here's my SoundCloud page: https://soundcloud.com/doctor-mccrimmon I can do a range of voices. I'll apply later, I'm just heading to bed right now. But my Skype is DoctorMcCrimmon (just like everything else about me)
  16. I could voice the teenage girl, the guard, the tomboy, or I can do a fairly decent Celestia. A couple of samples of my teenage girl: And my Celestia that I did as an audition for another project: Also, busy because, here's my Luna: (I don't have any samples of guards, sadly.)
  17. That would be an AWESOME intro for the projects. You know, at the start of projects, there's a few seconds intro of the creator? Having it a book flipping open with the logo and the words Two Sisters Animation flying out of the book… or something like that. That's be so cool.
  18. How about this one: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tfeq9a997q8yias/2014-09-26%2004.15.03.jpg?dl=0 I smoothed out the edges and added a border.
  19. I won't be able to help write it for you, though I have plenty of experience both in writing and recently in writing scripts. But I'll be more than happy to help you along in the process, work with you on the story, and guide you through the creative process of making a fan series. Also, I'll be happy to voice act when the time comes, as that is one of my main skill sets. I can also get you in touch with the right people to help you along with it. If you have skype, it'd probably be easiest we talk through there, but I'm happy to talk with you over PMs if you don't have skype. Just let me know. I loved the Crow series back in the 90s, though I haven't seen it since it first aired... so I'll need a brush up on the subject. But let's talk first and get this started, yeah?
  20. Here's my Chrysalis (I made a copy in .mp3 and posted both that and its original .mp4 just to be safe) https://www.dropbox.com/s/y5hyj1pbh2yptbi/Chrysalis.mp4?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/nzfsw7fnxeaopdb/Chrysalis.mp3?dl=0 (Also, I did a couple of versions of it, just in case. One was singing it in her softer tone, like she used for the reprise of This Day, and a straight singing of her more evil voice (minus the effects, as my recorder won't let me add that, and I would have to layer it to add that echoey sound she has), and then the last one is more acting in the song.)
  21. https://www.dropbox.com/sc/g38hqazbd1dzpov/AACHhHIT1lW-hfZ5fVAtThqma How about something like this?
  22. How about a backdrop of the Castle of the Two Sisters, with a yin yang overlapping it whose circles were the sisters' cutie marks.
