  1. Socks - Yes, I'm happy about this. I love getting new soft socks. Some clothes; t shirt, sweatshirts, and a pair of jeans. A PS4 - I actually got to keep it when it came over a month ago, and I've already beat 2 games on it. Cologne Some gift cards And $550 in cash from family members, which means anime up the wazzu for me.
  2. Opening presents that I already know what they are, then going to work on an 8 hour shift until 11 pm. Oh what fun the holidays are.
  3. I feel, for the lack of a better word, deflated. I'm disappointed and angry about so many things, including myself. My rich cousin graduated college before I did, and she went to a nice and well known university, while I go to a community college. My luck with women is also terrible, and today again solidified that fact. I have such a strong desire to draw and act, but I can't. And every day the disappointment I have with myself grows.
  4. NEVER, STAY AWAY FROM MAI WAIFU But seriously, I don't think it's a good idea in a show about teaching young children about friendship. I feel like MLP would lose a bit of itself too if it went that route.
  5. Now this would be a cool figure to have! I've always enjoyed seeing people's renditions of an older Princess Twilight. Source: http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=60184924
  6. Honestly, Nick struck gold with shows like Drake and Josh and Ned's Declassified. It helps shows like All That! and The Amanda Show built up to them. But Nick doesn't seem to even give one second of effort when it comes to their new live-action shows. Drake and Josh and Ned's were all clever, funny, well-acted, and all around terrific. I don't even need to watch the stuff now to know it's all straight up garbage. Personally, they should drop them all together and focus strictly on animation at this point. Cartoon Network as been kicking their asses ever since Adventure Time, Chowder, and Regular Show burst onto the scene. The Loud House is a terrific step in the right direction. I just saw the Christmas Special for The Loud House and it was terrific. LH is, in my opinion, the best cartoon on TV. Using the leftover money and resources from live-action shows, they could increase the quality of their cartoons. Fairly Oddparents is a disaster and Spongebob is pretty much over. So once Nick can establish quality cartoons again, then perhaps they can try to re-enter the live-action genre.
  7. It was the final nail in the Vita's coffin. I loved the first GR and I love my Vita, so it sucks to see this.
  8. Under Our Spell probably. Also This Day Aria and Smile Song.
  9. I don't mean to necro this thread, but Tara seems to only tweet political crap now. Today she's retweeted a picture that generalizes Trump supporters as KKK members, Nazis, and a number of other extremist groups. This may be the final straw for me. I love Tara's acting and voice, but seeing tweet after tweet of how Trump voters are practically Satan, I can only stand so much.
  10. I hate the fact that it took me this long to figure out this existed, same with the bloopers from Friendship Games. These were great.
  11. Unfortunately. She's always seemed so cool, but ever since this election she's done nothing but regurgitate the usual liberal crap.
  12. Exhausted, extremely stressed, and angry. This election has taken a lot out of me, and I'm not even into politics. I just wish I could take a break for a while, go somewhere fun.
  13. My grandfather was actually drafted into the military for the Vietnam war. He was shipped there but luckily he never saw battle. He instead stayed at camp because he was the only one who knew how to type, so he typed reports and whatnot. Isn't that crazy? Something so commonplace today was extraordinary back then.
  14. Absolutely they should. But what do you expect from typical Liberals, they talk a big game but ultimately don't do jack.
  15. Sad to see season 6 finished. But season 7 isn't too far off!

    1. Drunk Not I Am

      Drunk Not I Am

I liked season 6, albeit it felt weaker than he others.

  16. So the writers finally took my advice of centering a season finale around secondary characters, eh? But seriously, very happy this didn't revolve around the Mane 6. It made this one feel so fresh! Couple that along with the return of Chrysalis and you have one stellar season finale. Overall, I enjoyed this one a lot. Starlight grew as a character, Trixie got plenty of screen time, and the Changlings are now good. I think the only other character missing from this B-Team was Cheese Sandwich! I wished he was in this finale. Admittedly, I do think how the rest of the changlings were able to just accept love like that was a little cheesy and unrealistic. The ending did feel a bit rushed in that respect. But it opens up a whole new world of possibilities in the future, how changelings could be implemented into future episodes. It's sort of like the Dragons at the beginning of the season. Hopefully the writers don't forget about them! The new forms of the Changlings are different, but I like them. They're something more akin to pixies or something. And seeing Thorax in his new role felt pretty satisfying. He really grew as a character, but you have to wonder why he didn't talk after he transformed? Different voice in the future maybe? No song? I don't have a problem with that actually. Unless Trixie would have sung of course. I liked how the hive was set up with it's ever changing interior and anti-magic protection, I thought it was all quite clever. I do kind of wish that they explained how they captured everyone, especially the powerful princesses. Numbers I suppose? I guess it isn't that important. Chrysalis choosing revenge was another fairly fresh aspect of this finale, usually we'd expect friendship and everything is all dandy in the end. It was a much darker route for this show, and I'm glad they chose to do it. What I'd really love to see is Chrysalis gather a team of villains to combat the Mane 6 in a future season opener/finale. Imagine, Chrysalis, Tirek, Sombra, and a few others all on one team. That would be an incredibly intense episode! In the end, I really enjoyed this one. It really separates itself from other finales and I'm glad it does. Season 6 had a number of bumpy spots along the way, but it finished strong with this one. Can't stress enough how happy I am to see Trixie be front and center in such important episodes. This finale once again made me very proud to be a fan of this show. Bring on season 7!
  17. Another good episode this week. Vapor was cute, and honestly I liked Sky's backstory. It was genuinely believable and not cheesy, like some other characters whose back stories have been pretty bad. I don't think I'm the only one who thought Spitfire's voice sounded a little different. Please replicate the original actor as best you can, because she was great. The story behind Angel Wings is really great. It looks like the young girl will forever be apart of MLP, which I think is a wonderful thing. Her character was pretty cute! Pretty fun episode, especially Twilight's smile.
  18. This was a good bounce back after the last few mediocre episodes. It was cool to see how different Applejack and Big Mac were in their younger days. Big Mac as a chatterbox was pretty surprising to see. After just seeing Legend of Everfree, seeing Filthy Rich as a good guy feels pretty jarring. So it appears Fluttershy isn't the only one who looked like that when she was a filly. It might just be a stage in every young pony's life that they go through. Overall, I enjoyed this one.
  19. I'm still one of those guys stuck on the idea that at some point, the real world and Equestria are going to be fused together because someone was tampering with the portal and that it's up to the Humane 7 and the Mane 6 to fix it. I think that would be a really really cool plot, but I think that would be the final EQG movie. But with the hint dropped at the end of LoE about the statue, clearly the next movie will have to do with the portal itself.
  20. No, it can be criticized like anything else. However, RR is the gold standard when it comes to EQG movies because it was the complete package. The music was terrific, the villains were memorable and deliciously evil, the plot was great, the character development was fantastic, and it was wonderfully cinematic.
  21. She was a mental and emotional hurtle Twilight had to get over, personally I liked how it was done.
  22. Finally got to sit down and watch this one. This was probably the least hyped EQG movie yet. Now most people know I'm a fan of the EQG series because I know it has its merits, and Sunset is probably one of the best developed characters in the Friendship is Magic franchise. But I have to say, I'm kind of in the middle on this one. First off, I wasn't really a fan of the premise. It just didn't click with me. The movie itself was... Ok. It wasn't the worst, but it sure as hell wasn't the best. I may have to re-watch it again to determine if it's better than Friendship Games. The plot was alright, I liked how timber was a bait and switch with Gloriosa. I couldn't help roll my eyes when she was transforming. Who saw that one coming? (Everyone) Although, I did like how she was clearly on the brink of insanity which added a lot to her personality I think. She was also pretty cute. However, I feel like there were way too many cheesy moments in the movie. Felt like this one had way more than any movie before it. The amount of romance in this movie really took me aback. It was right there center stage, something the other movies only made a passing thing every now and again. So it looks like they're establishing a new relationship especially for human Twilight. I figured it was because just in case for the future they need both Twilights, each one has their own love interest. What really surprised me is how Sunset and Flash hit it off. I actually can't believe that they're hinting at a relationship between the two. Does this mean they're going to completely drop the idea of the ponies coming over? I'm not sure how I feel about that, I don't think I really like it. Anyway, the thing between Twilight and Timber was decent. It definitely felt more genuine as compared to Flash. At first I liked Timber, but his cocky abrasive attitude soon got on my nerves. Can't believe Twilight almost kissed him. And of course, she went full anime again. That gets me every time. The music was nothing special unfortunately. BUT, Midnight in Me was terrific. However it was about a minute and thirty seconds too short. It was emotional and strong and could've built up to something even bigger. Honestly, it reminded me of a James Bond movie opening song. Anyone else get that vibe? For now, this is my EQG movie ranking: Rainbow Rocks - 9.5 Friendship Games - 7 Legend of Everfree - 6.5 EG - 6 I hate to say, but this movie felt to me like a departure of that cinematic feel that the series had. It felt more like a TV special than anything. EG and Rainbow Rocks felt like events. Rainbow Rocks really perfected the cinematic element so perfectly, which is why it's my top EQG movie. I did say right as the credits were rolling "I hope this movie introduces an entirely new crazy thing to the series", because I knew the premise wasn't anything special. In that regard, the movie delivered in some small ways I think. We all knew those small gems were something very similar to the Elements of Harmony. Then of course the ending scene with the statue base, back to where it all began. Clearly there's something encased inside the concrete that will be a plot element in the next movie. With that said, I'm hoping this marks a turn around for the series. It just feels like they're going through the motions, EQG has lost its luster, with its climax being Rainbow Rocks. Here's hoping Legend of Everfree has built up to something much grander. PS: Please bring back the Dazzlings.
  23. Regular Show got mediocre, Adventure Time got terrible, Stephen Universe has always been awful, didn't see Gravity Falls, Korra's ending was terrible. But at least MLP has stayed consistent. I say The Loud House is the beginning of a new era. But that's all just me.
  24. Remember kids, using mind control on your friends to do your bidding is bad. This episode was ok, but like everyone else said, this was Starlight's Lesson Zero. But Lesson Zero was a much better episode.
  25. I found this one to be incredibly boring. I could hardly pay attention. But at least they utilized a side character in a nice way.
