  1. @@TheLineTrotter, "Oooh, brunch sounds like a good idea," Raspberry said. "I'm excited! I've been nervous about exploring, since I have no idea how to get around here, so I'm glad you offered to show me around." She smiled at Vincent, then blushed a little. She got too excited for her own good at some points, but she was genuinely happy to get the chance to explore and possibly get to know Vincent a little better. "And 8:30 sounds fine to me."
  2. Oh man, I absolutely love the sketches you've done so far! Would you be willing to do one of Scooterlou, my OC? I've attached a picture of her. Scooterlou's a sassy girl who loves to ride scooters, and her cutie mark is, haha, a scooter - http://clipartist.info/SVG/CLIPARTIST.ORG/VESPA/vespa_1957-1969px.png could be a good reference image for that.
  3. @@TheLineTrotter- "Yes, that was definitely... odd." Raspberry shook her head, then looked up at Vincent. "And to answer your question, well, I have to work the evening shift, but if you want, I'd love it if you could show me around tomorrow morning...: She smiled, happy that he'd asked. She enjoyed the griffin's company, and hoped they could be friends at the very least. She hadn't seen many griffins in her life, sure, but the fact that Vincent was a griffin didn't bother her one bit. "What time would you want to meet? And would you mind picking me up here? The shop'll be closed until around noon, but I can wait for you outside."
  4. @@TheLineTrotter, @ - "I can understand being worried about not enough work in a country town - Ponyville can definitely get pretty quiet at times." She laughed when he mentioned Canterlot. "I've never even been to Canterlot and I don't think I could live there. Too many other ponies, too much going on... it'd be crazy!" As Vincent was offering to show her around the city, Virvidian came up to their table, asking about setting up to play music. "I didn't realize you wanted to do that tonight," she said, frowning a little bit. "I haven't had the chance to ask my aunt, and it is starting to get late - if you want, you can come back tomorrow morning - my aunt's working the early shift, and you could talk to her directly if you wanted." She grumbled to herself - it seemed like anything that could get between her and Vincent was going to happen tonight.
  5. Aw yeah, thunderstorm. Here's hoping it doesn't knock out power.

  6. @@TheLineTrotter- "Oh, I've only been here about a week so far," Raspberry said. "I'm glad Aunt Dreamsicle lives up over the shop, otherwise I'd probably get lost on my way to work each morning! She's been so nice, letting me stay with her until I get enough money to get a place of my own." She smiled a little, then continued. "But yeah, I grew up in Ponyville, so being here in Manehattan is a big change. This is the biggest city I've ever lived in!" She inwardly cringed - she was pretty sure Vincent would think of her as a plain country bumpkin after that last comment...
  7. @@TheLineTrotter- Raspberry cringed. "Eee, the Everfree Forest still scares me, and I'm an adult now. I'm glad Zecora was able to help you! While some of the ponies in Ponyville are a little leery of her because she's different, she's always been nice to me and has helped me out when I've accidentally burned myself on the stove at home..." She blushed a little and grinned awkwardly. "I'm glad you'll be able to at least fly short distances once you're healed up."
  8. If you've got time, would you mind drawing my OC, Scooterlou? Here's a picture of her - For the pose, surprise me! I'd just love to see her drawn by someone else, hee.
  9. @@TheLineTrotter - "I don't mind at all," she said to Vincent with a smile. "Let's see, I was rambling on about how I didn't really fit in at home, I think you were talking about how you're on leave from work..." She closed her eyes and scrunched her face up a little bit as she tried to remember. "I think that was it," she said, and nudged her glasses back up her nose with one hoof. "How'd you end up injuring your wing, if you don't mind me asking?" she asked, curious.
  10. @@TheLineTrotter, @- Raspberry cast a look in Vincent's direction, a hopeful smile, almost as if to say 'Please stick around for a bit?' She then turned back to Virvidian. "That sounds like a great idea! A live music night could be lots of fun! I'll have to ask my aunt to make sure she's fine with it, since she owns the shop, but I'm sure she'll be okay with it!" At that moment, Raspberry's Aunt Dreamsicle made her way in, and her face lit up as she looked at all the customers. "Wow, look at all the customers!" she said to Rasbperry. "Go ahead and take off, you've been here since we opened. I'll take it from here." Raspberry nodded to her aunt and made her way out from behind the counter to a seat in a booth at the back of the shop. If Vincent wasn't terribly busy, maybe he'd come over and talk to her - he seemed really interesting, but she didn't want to be pushy and butt into his conversation... She took a look at the clock and realized it was much later than she thought - it was evening now, no wonder why Aunt Dreamsicle had come by to relieve her. 'I guess time flies when you're bored,' she thought to herself.

  12. I figure I might as well start sharing pictures of my pony collection - since it's so ridiculously huge that it won't all fit in one photo! This one's of the smaller figurines I have - all the smaller brushables and some assorted blind bags, as well as some other random ponies. And just so you guys know, the desk that they're all lined up on? It's about five feet long. So that's a lotta ponies.
  13. @- "That'll be three bits," Raspberry said. "And I love her shows too! I got to see one before I left Ponyville to come to Manehattan, it was great! Hopefully she'll come here so I can see her perform her magic show again." @@Starshine- After the stallion left the line, she turned to the tall pegasus that was next in line and took her order. "We do have waffles - we make them fresh! Which means it might be a little bit of a wait, if that's okay?" Raspberry was enjoying the sudden rush of customers in the shop - this was better than the past couple of afternoons, where she pretty much just washed tables and sang to herself. She shook her head a little, pulling herself out of her thoughts, and looked back up at the pegasus. "I do have some frozen that I can heat in a hurry, if you're in a rush - the frozen ones were made this morning, so they're still pretty fresh." Raspberry smiled, happy for the flurry of activity in Two Scoops.
  14. "Sure thing!" Raspberry said to the stallion who was next in line, and began to scoop up ice cream for his order. "I can't believe that Trixie's spread the news about our little ice cream shop!" She grinned and served up a bowl of chocolate and cookies and cream ice cream. "Here you go! Enjoy your ice cream!"

  16. @@TheLineTrotter - Raspberry grinned and nodded. "Yeah, my name's Raspberry Swirl. It's a pleasure to meet you!" She served the stallion his order, then went back to talking to Vincent. "I'm pretty new to town - my aunt actually owns the shop, and I ended up moving here from Ponyville to Manehattan to work for her since she needed some help with the shop, and I wasn't much help back at home..." She flushed a little, then smiled awkwardly. "My parents are bakers, but I'm not much of a cook - I kept messing things up on accident more often than I did things right." She let out a little laugh, and blushed a little more. "But I'm rambling! I apologize."
  17. @@TheLineTrotter - "One bowl of cotton candy for here, coming right up!" She grinned as she used her magic to get the ice cream scoop. She might actually have some company for a bit! Which would be nice, definitely on such a boring afternoon. As she scooped the ice cream for the griffin, she wondered what brought him to Manehatten - maybe he'd strike up a conversation, and she could find out. It was a pretty rare thing to see a griffin... "Here's your ice cream," Raspberry said to the griffin. "I hope you enjoy! The cotton candy is a new flavor, the shop's owner decided we should try it out. Let me know if you like it, okay? If not, I can get you something else." She nudged her glasses up her nose, as they had slipped down her nose a little bit, then grinned at the griffin.
  18. As long as I can still watch the episodes somehow, and surround myself with my pony collection, I'll be a brony. I mean, come on, Sailor Moon ended back in 1997, and I'm STILL a fan of the show, sixteen years later.
  19. New avatar. Much less scary than my old one. :D

  20. Cosplaying is one of my most favorite things about conventions. I've always loved dressing up in costumes, even the cheap plastic ones that came in a box at Halloween when I was a kid, and as I've grown up that hasn't changed at all. "But why do you like dressing up, Scooterlou?" you may ask. "Why the heck do you make these costumes and then prance around at conventions in them?" Well, the answer to that is simple - it gives me a chance to meet other people who I wouldn't ordinarily have met, since they might want to talk about my costume. I've made quite a few friends at conventions simply because of my Pinkie Pie costume! And the other answer? Because it gives me a chance, for a little bit, to actually be that character. When people come up to me when I'm dressed as Pinkie, I get all giggly and start talking in a Pinkie-esque voice. If they ask for pictures, I respond with a cheery "Okey dokey lokey!" and make them laugh. Even little kids will get excited when the recognize that I'm Pinkie Pie. Plus I just love dressing up. And yeah, this post maaaaay have been an excuse for me to post cosplay pictures. This is me caring.
  21. Oh man. The worst pain I've ever experienced is after my scooter accident, when all the pain meds I was given in the emergency room finally wore off. I'd bruised my ribs, dislocated my thumb, got road rash on my hands, knees, and face, fractured my cheekbone, nearly broke my nose, and had two black eyes (I couldn't even see out of my left eye for three days, my face was so swollen) - and a concussion on top of that. I was on high doses of ibuprofen, but it only really dulled the pain. I was absolutely miserable for about a week. It could have been much much worse if I hadn't been wearing my helmet! The funny thing is? My scooter only got a couple scratches. I got back on and started riding again as soon as I got a new helmet and the swelling went down in my face, heheh.
  22. Not everyone has a cellphone - my boyfriend decided specifically that he was sick of cellphones and just goes without a phone entirely, so I use Google Hangouts to get in touch with him. (Plus, I also use it on my computer, so it just kinda makes sense to use it on my phone)

    technology Google Glass?

I got to try Google Glass once - one of my co-workers has it, she got in on the beta testing. I personally wouldn't get it until it's something I can attach to my regular glasses. Not only can I not see regularly without them on, it was hard to see Google Glass clearly too!
  24. I got to see Les Miserables on Broadway back in 2006 when it had its revival... it was AMAZING. My best friend cried through the entire thing, he was so happy to be there (and at points so sad because, well, it's not exactly the cheeriest musical ever) I think my favorite recording of it is the one done by the Dream Cast for the 10th Anniversary. I still get chills whenever I listen to it.
  25. @@TheLineTrotter, @, Raspberry Swirl looked up as not one but two customers entered the shop - a pegasus and a griffin! She quickly made her way behind the counter, tossing her cleaning rag in the sink as she trotted by it, and cheerily grinned at her two customers. "Hello there! It's a fine afternoon for ice cream, isn't it? What can I get you?" She hoped she didn't sound too eager, but she was rather bored from sitting there alone all afternoon.
