Worst part is that, despite making it to where these games no longer work if bought in another area, there are no refunds being offered, so you got a broken product and Valve is keeping all of the money. I know they do a thing where there's a general "no refunds rule" but they also don't deliberately make it to where people can't play games purchased from them, either. So they just made off with breaking a bunch of games for a bunch of people and they kept all of the money...

...those people paid to them for these games that no longer work.

Fricken theft, man.

The irony is these are supposed to discourage piracy but they tend to do the exact opposite, I guarantee you someone somewhere is working on some patch/exploit around this.
