    @@Kyoshi, @, Despite the same design, that pony isn't Derpy. It's a very obscure background pony named Orange Box. Here's another image of her up close. Besides the opening, I haven't seen Derpy, either. So far, she's been absent throughout, and pretty much the background pony activity altogether are missing in most of the episodes.

    If FIM ever gets a co-editor, I hope Merriweather Williams becomes one. Since McCarthy replaced Rob Renzetti as editor, too many scripts for too many episodes paced horribly. Besides the last bit of SaYS, all of Williams' episodes are well-polished in the pacing department.

    One of FIM's most important messages in its mission statement is how there are many better ways to be a proud girl beyond the atrocious stereotypes. Sadly, EQG's dolls and character design concepts contradict the message of the brand. *smh*

    Bats! is currently my second-most favorite S4 episode. The pace so far is easily among the best this season. (In all but three, including this one, the pace was absolutely shitty; and to see a strong pace is refreshing.) Now, is it good? Subjectively, yes. Objectively, TBD.

As a celebrity being interviewed by a top-selling magazine, he should expect angry reception and financial consequences by A&E.

    The Rarity micro comic's good, but Flax Seed and Wheat Grass got on my nerves for being incompetantly aloof, and Filthy Rich became an antagonist by association. My personal viewpoint: CMC > Pinkie >>> Rarity = Celestia > Applejack > Rainbow Dash >>> Luna >> Fluttershy.

    After reading that overrated (and bad) Luna micro comic, I'm planning to plug some elements from it (including Luna's pet, an opposum named Tiberius) into my Thomas & Friends fanfic adapation concept.

    Back when the design was featured in season one, many bronies from 4chan saw how she and the cutie mark for FIM!Bon Bon resembled the Bon Bon from Tales. Here's a picture of Bon Bon from G1 (from the MLP Wiki): The big differences are how she has one wrapped-up candy as the cutie mark, more saturated yellow, and reddish-purple hair. (Bon Bon, BTW, is an official name for the G4 pony, as given to her in the Gameloft game.) For me: Colgate over Minuette Derpy way over every other conceived name (and Ditzy and Derpy are not the same character). Snowflake or Horse Power over Roid Rage and Bulk Biceps Dr. Whooves over Time Turner and well over Dr. Hooves Vinyl Scratch over DJ P0n-3 Lyra over Heartstrings Carrot Top over Golden Harvest Sparkler or Amethyst Star, I use interchangeably Cloudchaser over Stormwalker. (I use "Stormwalker" as a last name for both Cloudchaser and Flitter.)

    Just read the Applejack micro-comic. Cute, but VERY redundant and reliant on the "AJ's-too-stubborn-to-help" schtick. Decent standalone, but poor continuity.

      I can agree with this. I really enjoyed the storyline and the portrayal of Applejack's character, but it felt redundant and too similar to both Applebuck Season and Apple Family Reunion. It was a great reminder of what makes AJ so darn respectable and lovable, but it's otherwise pointless.
