He could be, but I doubt it. He is pretty much the actual sidekick to Twilight, not the mane5 as we are lead to believe.

This all depends on how much time I have to prepare. Starlight is not as intimidating if you can shoot her.

It depends on some scenarios, like am I fighting them at their strongest point or in their natural habitat. It is huge when you are talking about Tirek because if he hasn't absorbed any magic then he is totally useless.

I really don't want to see the 200th episode be another fan pandering mess and would instead prefer that it be something else.

On /mlp/ there is a vocal minority that believes that the episode was pretty boring. It was a pretty noticiable divide between AMAZING and Meh.

Spike and RD aren't friends. He tends to stick around with Twilight,Starlight, Fluttershy, and Rarity, though he seems to be nice to Pinkie Pie. Also to everyone who brings up Newbie Dash, not only was Starlight NOT there, but you forget that Spike was trying to remind a clueless Pinkie that she was abandoning a friend. Pinkie was essentially written as an uncaring jerk in that episode, much of the same vein as Filli Vanilli.

They seem to be a huge issue to the Equestrians, so wouldn't it be better if they destroyed them all?

Does no one have faith that Hasbro couldn't make lightning strike twice the way Dragon Ball did with Dragon Ball Z and (arguably) Dragon Ball Super? I mean even the concepts that everyone insists must be relegated to fanfiction were well received there, shipping, off-spring, tonal changes, entirely new lore out of nowhere. People say every cartoon should end after a certain number of episodes, but no one would be dumb enough to tell you that Dragon Ball should have ended after Goku got married.

Wasn't the reference in Equestria Girls enough?

South Park got BETTER after the movie. Season 1 and 2 don't have the same clever humor that the series got from Season 5 onward. Also Dragon Ball had about as many episodes as MLP will have at the end of Season 6, and the same number of tie-in films. And that's BEFORE we get into its more popular sequel series.

Please post your requests/ideas here. I know we have an episode ideas thread, but I also want to take ideas for things like "toys" that should be made into episodes. And EQG ideas as well.

Forcing it into an alternate continuity means they then can't bring it back into FIM proper. It is better to take a EQG approach and just never mention it in the mainline series. Hell why not take a Nintendo approach and just use the some same characters, but move them to a faraway different location where it is less likely they'll ever need to reference any of the elements into the mainline series.

He's a character who not only desired being a hero, but has achieved it on multiple occasions, those Crystal Empire rescues/Gauntlet of Fire trials should be building up to something. Personally I'd like to see Spike grow up to be some kind of Guardian of Equestria. Maybe he can be like Gamera to the Equestrians.

He's desired being a knight back in S1, and showed desires of being a superhero in S4. That's something he seems to want, and nearly every one of his episodes have had him saving lives in one way or another, not to mention helping Twilight save the day as much as the other mane six. As for Starlight, there are things we can do with her.

It doesn't need to be a villain. I proved that so with my idea.

Is there an easy way I can link it here? https://mlpforums.com/topic/13533-your-episode-ideas/?p=4506360 In any case I thought of the idea of magic being an energy source much like solar, wind, hydroelectric, nuclear, geothermal and someone being able to convert energy created from those sources into magical energy.

Like maybe magical energy is being generated or magic from some alternate universe starts seeping into Equestria? Could Equestria handle the excess energy?

If this season doesn't give a new goal for Spike, then we can work on him, he has wanted to be a knight or a superhero.

I think as we have seen with other ponies having the ability to do all sorts of things doesn't mean you'll necessarily be the best at it. We already saw Sunburst being way more knowledgeable about magical theory than Twilight, and Starlight Glimmer, despite being a unicorn, seems like a far better spell caster. We have seen Rainbow Dash be a far better flyer than pretty much any other pony in the series. This is to say nothing of other non-pony species who we have seen some serious feats from. I mean look dragons, they are durable, most can fly, and they can breathe fire. There is even some evidence that they have some ability to cast spells as well. The only things alicorns have over dragons is a more control over nature (namely they can grow food?) and a greater spell casting ability, but this cost comes at being far less durable. Oh and they're not useless, as Spike is nearly tied with Twilight for the number of times Equestria has been saved, and he doesn't need a macguffin to do so. This is to say nothing that due to the loose nature of the lore and the world, as well as applying some real world concepts to the mix, that alicorns couldn't be bested by some new concept that raises the power ceiling or renders their capabilities pointless.

Because this is a series designed to sell toys? And Spike hasn't become a superhero or a knight yet.

This is assuming the series needs to end at this moment.

Why would they do a big box office push to sell toys they are going to discontinue? Why would Hasbro have a product they cannot cash in if it isn't successful?

I dunno today's episode felt like it was written by someone who only had a basic knowledge of the show, and it was loaded with jokes that don't have a decent payoff, characters seeming very superficial, and a rushed ending. I think a fan could do this episode idea better.
