Trilby hears his name being called. "Did the show contin--OOF!" Before he can finish his sentence, he gets hit by a flying puppet. Holding it up, he is surprised. "Croissanto? What the... YOU'RE MISSING A CHUNK OF YOU!! This looks like a job for an artisan." Wasting no time, Trilby gets to work. First, he examines Criossanto, making note of the different materials. Then, he gets out a small power washer and cleans Croissanto. "To start, I need to clear away any years of weathering so that I can see the material's true color. ...Ah! I think I have some matching material with me." Trilby gets out some various fabrics, including one that looks a lot like Croissanto's body. As he begins to sew, he hears Pinkie Pie complimenting his work, and looks over to see if anything important is happening. Seeing the cannon go off, Trilby dodges. He protects Croissanto, his hat, and the fabrics he picked out by doing some expert flips and lunges. When it is over, Trilby lands gracefully on his hooves. "...? Oh wow! That's the first time I ever did that! I guess it's true what they say, a pony can do anything when their fight-or-flight response is trigged. What did I dodge anyways?" Trilby looks at everyone. "More cake? Heh. Isn't that a little old hat by now?" Trilby laughs at his own joke, bet then notices the rest of his hat supplies are covered in cake. "NO!! Not my hat-making supplies! When will the madness stop?!" Trilby falls to his knees. Trilby looks at Croissanto, suddenly afraid. "...Do I even want to know how you said all that while you were in my hooves? Well, nevermind. Nothing I can do now but finish my job and make you delicious again." With the supplies and tools Trilby saved from a cake batter burial, he gets to work. First, he sews some more material onto Croissanto, replacing the parts that Discord ate. Now he looks like a brand-new puppet! You can't even tell that he was chewed seconds ago. "And now, the finishing touch..." Using some spare straw and the last of the fabrics, Trilby makes a small cowboy hat and puts it on Croissanto's head. "There. Now you're all better! Or should I say, freshly baked?" With a smile, Trilby walks over to Shiny and presents her with the fully repaired Croissanto. "Here yo go, good as new."

Trilby takes a second to snatch his hat as it falls and put it back on his head. As he does, he listens to Discord's challenge, as well as Pinkie's advice. For only a second, he closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, then looks up again. "I'll do it. But for Discord, I'll make a personalized hat. One just for him. I'll even use my last teleportation spell to make it happen. I hope it meets your standards, mon capitaine." Trilby focuses and magically summons his hat making supplies via teleportation. First, he uses his tape measure to get a measurement of Discord's head and figure out the placement of his horns. Getting out some raw material and some tools, Trilby gets to work! With the help of his skills and his magic, he steams, tucks, scrapes, burns, sews, shapes, and polishes until he has made a colorful fedora with a black band, adorn with spikes and metal finishes, a roughed edge on the brim, a hidden dragon scale pattern at the top of the crown, a two-tone feather, and various other custom details you cannot get anywhere else. With this hat made in record time, no quality lost, Trilby makes sure the hat has special holes for Discord's horns. And then, he presents it to the draconequus. "Here you go, Discord sir. A custom hat fitting of a grand vizier of ceremonies such as yourself. For you, no charge." After giving it up, Trilby looks at the audience and speaks into his microphone. "And remember, you too can have a custom-made hat as well! Find the perfect representation of your personality at Trilby Hatter's Headwear Emporium. Open on most Tuesday's through Saturday's." As Trilby collects his supplies and moving them away from the theater area, he smiles and bows to Shiny. "Thank you for saying that. And I hope Croissanto visits my store some day." Trilby gives a happy little giggle, but tries to stay professional.

At first, Trilby is shocked, confused, and a little frightened. However, before he can say anything, the newly-arrived draconequus snatches his hat! "NO!! Not my hat! Thief!!" Trilby runs over and reaches up, but he's not exactly tall enough to get it. "Please! Anything but my hat!! Have a heart. I worked hard on that hat!! You can't just snatch up my pride and joy like that!!" Trilby begs. Trilby then notices Dynamo and turns to him instead. "Dynamo, you know this creature? Can you please convince him to give me my hat back? Err... And also, not to harm any pony here. That would be good too." Trilby asks kindly. Trilby goes back to begging. "Please, Mr. Discord, sir. I'll give you whatever you want to get my hat back. Would you like me to make you a custom hat? You strike me as someone that would look good in a dark orange zoot suit fedora." However, his pleading is interrupted with a sudden announcement. After a moment of shock and rubbing his ears, Trilby shrugs and raises his hoof. "I'll volunteer, if it means getting my hat back." While Trilby still finds Croissanto hilarious, and wishes to say more to Emerald Heart, he can feel his heart breaking. It also hurts that Pinkie Pie is saying nothing, a pony that has been ignoring him this whole event. "Does no pony care that my hat was stolen?" Trilby takes a moment to think about what he should do next. There might not be any way to get his hat back. A sacrifice to the chaotic god, as it were.

Trilby's eyes go wide with surprise. He begins to smile, pulling his hat off. "You really like my hat? I put a lot of work into it, but you're the first one to actually compliment my hat in a long time. Thank you." Trilby says, touched. He then realizes something and shakes his head, putting his hat back on. "Hay now, what kind of switcheroo is this? I'm suppose to be cheering YOU up, and here you are cheering ME up!" Trilby laughs a little at the situation. "Well then, if you wanna be friends with a hat maker, then it's a pleasure to know you. I'm Trilby Hatter." Trilby bows. He then hears Dynamo addressing everyone. "Excuse me. Duty calls~" With a bow, Dynamo walks off. Taking to the stage, Trilby stands near Dynamo. He holds up a microphone "That's right! And don't be afraid to come up if you have an encore act in mind as well." Trilby says to the audience and the participants. He then leans over and whispers to Dynamo. "By the way, Dynamo, buddy... When do the judges actually do the ruling, and what's the first place prize? Might be hard to eliminate any of the the contestants we have, since they're all so good. Unless this is more of an open-mic event where everypony just performs and there are no eliminations." Trilby asks, looking for more information.
