Necromancy aside, Star Citizen has reached 66 Million dollars in crowd funding, making it the largest project in the history of the entire planet to be crowdfunded in this way. Just look at the graphics. Feel the freedom of true to life newtonian physics with a flight model that allows full 6DOFflight. Imagine what's possible in a fully simulated, immersive, economy driven, first person world. Oh, and you see all those ships? They're actually the ingame assets. The game really does look that good.

It's still in really early development, but... STAR CITIZEN Oh my gosh that game is freaking amazing. Is and will be amazing. Fully first person space simulator made by Chris Roberts - the guy who made the wing commander series, Freelancer, and Starlancer. Completely crowd funded to the tune of 66 MILLION dollars and about to crack 67 mill means they have no obligation to any publishers - the game is being made by the people that love the game for the fans who have backed it. You are piloting a spaceship, as a pilot. You want to get up and go fix that thumping noise in the engine room? Sure. What? You need to EVA to fix that? Yep. Can do that too. Pirates attack? Pull out your gun, drift over and land on their hull, have an epic magboot enabled first person gunfight on the outside of a dancing fighter, And the graphics. Oh sweet celestia. Look at this fanmade trailer cut from entirely in engine footage and tell me something didn't jump in your heart.

The Wii U is horribly underpowered, but it has achieved something the other consoles have sadly missed . It's not pretending to be a PC in any way. At no point does it pretend to do the things a PC can do, and it doesn't try to have the best graphics. It embraces aesthetic beauty rather than a polycount which makes its games look much better than they are. It's designed from the ground up to be used for multiplayer with friends in your lounge room, and that I can approve of. Sure, it's not going to be pushing 60fps @ 1080p any time soon, but when all I care about is stealing the last jelly snake while my best friend tries to hit me with a pogo hammer, it doesn't matter. If I were playing solo though, It would be a different story.

Note to everyone - unless you LIKE small, for the love of GabeN, don't smish your precious components into a small form factor case. It's almost impossible to work on enjoyably.
