4 YEARSIt's been 4 years since I started my adventure with MLP (and almost 3 years since I joined this community).
So many things have changed since then ~ all of my hobbies (other than playing video games ), spending time on forums - - - these weren't a thing before I bumped into MLP. It's hard to believe how such a silly thing managed to impact my life that much (well at least the 'online' one ). Oh these 4 years definitely was a fun ride.

One of the things I do that kind of slows time down is this: I have two coding projects that I work on, and I rotate which one I'm working on every week: one week, I'm working on WFM. The next, I'm working on a smartphone game. It keeps time in perspective, though it (to a degree) slows down progress on both projects, it also means that the progress never out-and-out stops on either project.

@HereComesTom Die maybe not, but I suppose it will become pretty much inactive at some point. Though on the other hoof, maybe next generations will keep it all up..
I do think I have failed - I haven't released anything I'd be proud of so far. I didn't do much for the community - I haven't achieved the goals I have set myself. Now that the generation ends, I see it as a "time's up!" flashing before my eyes. I'm simply not proud of myself. 4 years and I pretty much didn't do anything productive. How is that not a failure?
@Kevin Tang Oh yes, it does. ikr?
When it's weekend:
*looks at the clock*
"2:00 PM"
*makes a tea*
*looks at the clock*
"8:00 PM"When at work:
*looks at the clock*
"2:00 PM"
*does an insane amount of work*
*looks at the clock*
"2:02 PM"@HereComesTom That doesn't work for me. I've made few smaller projects for lols (my own wish to make some science / game jams / that Twi's day) while I was working on the main ones and didn't notice any difference. It's still game dev, coding and stuff, so what projects I'm working on and how many of these do I have, it all doesn't make any difference for me.
The only way to slow down the time I know is --- to stare at the wall and do nothing all the day.

My attitude is that it's ambitious fan-projects that continue after the generation is done that help keep the fandom alive. So your original RPG project will actually still be worth pursuing after Season 9 is done. In fact it might be more worth pursuing at that point than it was in the last four years!
