SEASON 5 SPOILER

SEASON 5 EPISODE 18For a long time now I knew CMC had their cutie marks (even one of the mlpf banners spoiled that for me), but I never knew what exactly these mean, nor when exactly did they get these.
Recently I got back to MLP, continued watching the fifth season. I was aware of the Diamond Tiara thing in S05 E18 (saw only "The Pony I Want to Be and -Reprise)" music videos), but I had no clue this was the episode, where CMC got their cutie marks, so even though I had that spoiled, it totally caught me off-guard, which was nice.
The episode started with a song, it had more in between --- it started to feel like a season opening/finale, which made me suspect, that there will be something important at the end - and there was!
Either way, I really, really love "Light of Your Cutie Mark" song. The instrumental itself is amazing, it's epic and it sounds like a boss music of some sort.
And by the way, as for our Polish dubbing ~ Could be better, but it's not that bad. I'm not sure about Diamond Tiara's voice, but the rest is

The Polish dub sounds a lot better than the Finnish one!
Granted, I can't speak Polish, but the voices sound nice to me! .png ":)")
SpoilerThe CMCs have the incredible talent of running backwards and singing at the same time!
Also, I'm glad to hear you managed to avoid the spoilers better than I did, at least.

@Easter Dash Actually I do have to agree, that song became one of my favorites.
@Tacodidra I wanted to hear the Finnish one, but I cannot find it.

I don't even try to avoid spoilers, they just didn't catch me.
SpoilerYeah, they kinda came out of nowhere, but it all refers to their personality and talents.
- Star and note, becasue Sweetie Belle is great at singing and making things (clothing etc.) and she also obviously plays with magic.
- Apple and heart, because Applebloom is a caring pony and obviously apple is a mandatory for a member of the Apple Family.
- Wing + bolt, because Scootaloo would like to be as awesome as Rainbow Dash. She's the one specializing in tricks and such.
I'm not really a fan of the outer shield though. Usually ponies have symbols representing their talents and such, CMC seem to have more than that, as their cutie marks also represent, as you said, CMC "fellowship". It also makes their cutie marks almost the same. Imagine Mane6 having their cutie marks almost the same too, because of being one of the elements of harmony. I would very much prefer CMC having their cutie marks without that outer shield, that would work better in my opinion. It's nice, that the cutie marks connect them together, but it feels unnecessary and not "normal", compared to other ponies.
Also I just found this and it's really funny - but it sounds awesome!
