Sorry for the radio silence my end lately. I hope you've all been keeping well and apologies for not keeping up with my status updates and messages. Really hope I haven't missed anything too important.
Anyway. I just wanted to share my latest piece of work with you. I might put it up in the Visual Art section of the forums.

Good morning!
I certainly hope your day is getting off to a better start than mine.
I woke up this morning to discover that the dining room ceiling was leaking due to the rain. Meanwhile, in the bathroom, I learn that all the towels in the cupboard are wet through due to a rather stealthy pin prick sized hole in a pipe has been leaking water for I have no idea how long. In addition, I need to adjust the water level in the water tank because apparently, the overflow pipe outside the house is going nuts with spilling excess water.
Luckily, I can fix these things. But could this stuff at least wait until I've had a cup of tea and toast first before occuring? Or even better, not happen at all?
Anyway...

It feels like it's been a while since I last posted a status update so I figured I'd just check in and say hello. I've been a little occupied to the point where I haven't really been able to check status updates that much, save for the odd couple here and there, but I hope you're all doing well. I'm hoping to be able to become active around here soon once I've taken care of a few things. I've mostly been doing a lot of art related stuff and have sort of been going through a bit of a "Renaissance" with it over the past couple of months.
Anyway. I'm finally getting around to creating a new avatar soon. The juice box is finally running out and backwash only recycles so far.

Looks like I'm on schedule to get my art contest entry done tonight. I'm also taking a stab at the writing one as well. A shame that I don't have time to work on the music one. But then again, there is still a few days to go though I suppose. Really depends on my other art stuff I have planned.

Tonight I learned I own 17 pairs of shoes. Not including the 2 pairs that I'm due to have delivered. Sure that might be excessive to some.
But can a girl really own too many pairs of shoes?

One of my pet peeves has always been people who don't keep appointments.
Understandable and forgiveable when it comes to emergencies and sudden necessary changes of plans. However, for example, when someone books an appointment to view your house to see if they wish to purchase it and don't bother turning up without any notice of cancelation, then it does... to put it mildly... "trouble" me.
For the past two days I have worked hard preparing the house for the viewing. I even woke up early today and spent the entire morning making sure that it was in extra presentable condition. I was then left waiting for more than an hour pacing back and forth waiting for the viewer to arrive. Which they did not.
Which then led me to contacting the estate agents to see what was happening. My call was not answered and I ended up having to leave a message. I have waited for 3 hours for a response and have yet to receive one.
I find it all rather insulting. I certainly hope they all have a very VERY good excuse for wasting my time. Time that I could have used more productively these past couple of days. There really is no excuse for outright bad manners.
I hope everypony elses weekend has been good so far.

Sorry you had to go through that, my friend. I've been there as well...
The worst thing is you can't win in either situation. If you wake up early and do all the prep work, they might not show and ultimately waste your time. But if you blow it off thinking no one will arrive, you better believe they will and you'll be completely unprepared.

I have a viewer for my house on Saturday!
They've already sold their property. I hope to Celestia they buy this place. My brother and I can finally go our seperate ways and I can finally move on to the next major steps of my long term plan. If they buy it, in roughly two years and some hard work, I can finally be where I need to be.

I like how the art contest this month covers various different fields of creativity. Hopefully it'll become a regular thing.
I was already going to go in for the drawing one. But I'm really tempted to make entries for the others as well.

I've just added a new piece of art to my Deviantart gallery. First time I've proeperly attempted drawing any kind of Equestria Girls characters. I actually started this piece days ago but have been a little slow getting it done. Figured it was time to consider it complete.

I've just had to order a new computer mouse.
My current one was playing up a few weeks ago and I've been putting off getting a new one, but I think I've pushed the current one to its limits now. The mouse wheel has become too chaotic to work with and I'm unable to get any of my artwork done due to the vital need of having to zoom in and out on what I'm working on. Every time I scroll the mouse wheel, it just randomly left clicks and gets stuck trying to drag the screen I'm looking at up and down. I have to really tap the left click button hard to get it working normally again. And it gets really annoying having to do that every few seconds.
New one should arrive tomorrow. And by that, I mean it had better arrive tomorrow.
Moral of the story? Do not fear any robot or sentient artificial intelligence uprising. Give it enough time, they'll break on their own.

There have been many weird and wondeful ways in which MLP as a show has influenced me.
Earlier today, my mind wandered to something specfic that still makes me smile, but also compels me to go such lengths to be a good filly. They were very rare scenes that took place between Princess Celestia and Twilight. But they were scenes that hit me in a such a bizarre way that for the moments that they played out, I suddenly felt myself standing in Twilight's position.
These scenes were whenever Celestia was displeased or upset with Twilight.
Two notable points being during the Canterlot Wedding episode and also the episode where Twilight insults Celestia's acting. Whenever Celestia was upset with Twilight, it literally felt like Celestia was directly upset with me.
Celestia uttering the words “You have a lot to think about!” during Canterlot Wedding, still makes me feel ashamed of myself to the point I want to sit in the corner and think about the non-existent thing that I have done.
I guess Princess Celestia would make a pretty effective mother/mentor figure for me on the discipline side of things. If she ever uttered the words, “I'm not upset with you. Just disappointed.” that would probably destroy me on the spot.

A few hours ago, I decided to take a quick power nap. A nap that turned into the equivalent of a full night's sleep. It's currently 12:20am my end, so I guess my new day will be starting now.

I've just had to make an emergency purchase for a set of new headphones. The left speaker in my current ones has just flat out died on me. What I get for not buying JVC brand. Every pair of JVC headphones I've owned has lasted me at least ten years. My current ones I only bought because I couldn't buy any JVC ones at the time. They've barely lasted 3 years.
At least the new ones arrive tomorrow. I need music. 90% of my waking hours is spent wearing headphones. They're a part of me.

In a previous status update that I made back in December, I mentioned that I randomly found a butterfly in my living room that ended up living in my bedroom. Today I discovered that it's still living in my bedroom alive and well. Apparently it can live up to ten months.
So yeah. Pet butterfly acquired.

It does.
It's pretty content to just sit by my window. I did wonder if it was initally dead when I found it again, but it opened up its wings and moved about. I looked up what kind it was and apparently, like I said, it can live up to ten months if it emerged during the Winter. Which it must have done considering the time I found it.
I might try to get it some over ripe fruit to feed on. Apparently it's what they like.

Darn it! Near the start of the month I ordered this double breasted waistcoat that I really-really liked.

It never got shipped so now I have to settle for a refund. Sure I already a have a two button variant. But still... I really wanted it.
On the bright side though, my flu has cleared up! Now I can actively work on stuff again.

Treeglow Flicker medical log 4? 3? No, I think it is definitely 4.
The cough from the flu hasn't developed into anything much save for the occasional clearing of the throat. Headache has completely disappeared but some of the chills still remain. Nose remains dry but the dizzy spell and sluggish movement phase has now begun accompanied by my disgruntled groaning.
Additionally, I will not be able to return to bed for at least four hours due to currently washing my bedsheets. There's no way I'm climbing back into a sweat soaked bed, especially with the smell of my sweaty essence which on the bright side is a positive sign that the flu is buggering off quickly. But still. Ew!
I will now continue to sit here and groan at the fact that I have cake on the desk, but cannot enjoy it.

Good morning!
I'm still feeling a little delicate from the flu, but it looks like it won't be staying long. My headache has mostly cleared up and I'm not feeling the chills like I was when it suddenly struck me the other night. Right now it's moved on to trying to attack my chest, but it's nothing that a constant supply of tea and strawberry milkshake can't handle. Just wish I could wake up without finding myself laying in sweat soaked bedsheets (Ew!). Hopefully in a couple more days it will have buggered off completely.
In other news, I now have a DeviantArt account. It only has the one drawing at the moment, but I will be adding to it over time.
