With all the events that are getting canceled because of the corona virus, I wonder if I should plan to go to Ciderfest instead of EFNW this year. I really don't want to get excited to go and suddenly have it be cancelled a couple weeks before it starts, or even worse, when I'm on the road there. I've already been considering doing that because of money and time reasons (I would need to ride forty-five hours after having had a motorcycle for only a few months, whereas Milwaukee is only a one day ride three months later), so I really might do that.
In the meantime, there's a Comic Con in August where I live, so if that doesn't end up being canceled I can always go to that. I've never been to one, so I'll have to see what that's like. It's not a pony convention, but it's better than nothing. Maybe I'll make a NieR Automata cosplay.

I realized my phone hasn't been getting app updates, so I looked into the problem and fixed it. Turns out nearly every app on my phone needed an update I wonder how long that's been going on for to need so many updates.

Finished some more hand paws and tails. I'm still proud of (and more than a little surprised at) how durable the tail belt loops are. Not a single thread pops when I pull as hard as I can. I'm pretty light, so I could honestly probably hang my full body weight off of one. It would almost certainly be irreparably damaged, but that's not the point.

How many all-nighters are unhealthy? I'm considering pulling another, but I've already done two in the past few months, and I haven't been sleeping great the past few days to begin with.

Just finished signing up for a motorcycle safety course. It isn't for another month, but I'm still excited Really nervous too, but more excited.

Ooh, nice. I got the end of the roll for one of the fabrics I bought, so any extra that was too small to sell by itself got left on, so I got a little bit extra for free.
@Rixton With how much stuff I buy online I'm surprised I haven't seen it this bad before. Then again, this is one of the few packages I've gotten through UPS instead of USPS, so maybe that's why. USPS really isn't as bad as most people say, and imo their tracking is better than anyone else's.
@Muffinnz For most people it is, but it's actually a tiny fabric box for me Faux fur takes up an insane amount of space. It's only about one cubic foot, and all of the fur for a fursuit takes up a four and a half cubic foot box. I also end up using those boxes so I don't have one I can show you right now, but I can show a two cubic foot box, a five pound Poly-fil box, and a few shoes for scale.

@Dabmanz Nope, she's actually quite playful most of the time. She also really loves belly rubs, for some odd reason.

New computer is here! I've got drivers and everything installed, now I just have a few more programs I need to download. It's so much faster, and it might even be better than my old laptop, excluding the GPU. I can even open up more than four tabs, and the CPU usage doesn't jump over 80% when I move the cursor. I forgot how smooth a computer that isn't shit feels. Oh, and activated Windows is nice, too. Overall, not bad for $60 and some parts I already had.

Finally bought a new computer to replace the junk I'm using. It's got an i5-3570 and 8GB RAM (and a Windows key so I won't be stuck with inactivated Windows anymore), and once I throw in the SSD and GT 710 I already have it's actually gonna be a really good machine. It's supposed to get here on Monday, so that's exciting I can't wait to have a usable computer again.

I completely redesigned the base of my tails after I got feedback saying they weren't very resistant to pulling, and the result is way better than I could have expected. This new one I just finished can easily hold 31 pounds (about 14 kilograms). The elastic belt loop sprung back afterward as if it were nothing, and I didn't hear a single thread pop. I'd call that a success.

I just realized something. Including my unpublished stories and chapters, as well as my second Fimfic account (yes, it's in line with the rules to have multiple accounts there, and no, I won't post a link to that account), I've written roughly 220,000 words in the past year. That's a lot.
Also, about 180,000 of those words belong to mature rated stories, but whatever. I've watched a lot of fairly gruesome shows and they must have influenced my writing style. My two longest stories would be rated teen if it weren't for the gore. It's not super smart to limit the audience my main series gets, so I might try to tone it down in future additions so I can drop the rating and get more views.

After having a fursuit I made be delivered to a customer's house and being able to watch a video of them unboxing it, I think I can fully understand why Rarity does what she does in MLP. Seeing somebody squeal in happiness from wearing something you made for the first time is an unforgettable feeling, one that I'm going to keep chasing after. It's kind of like going to your first convention or concert. Once you get a taste, it's the only thing you'll ever want to feel. That's about the only thing strong enough to motivate even a slug like me.
I've been struggling with not knowing what I'm supposed to do for months now, and there have been times where I almost hit rock bottom again. Now it's like a massive weight was lifted from my shoulders and I suddenly discovered what I'm meant to do. It's probably gonna be a year or so before I gain any real traction, but all I know is I'm not petrified of the future anymore. That difficult first big project and sale, the hardest part of a journey like this, that lasted nearly three whole months from start to finish, is finally over. I'm ready for whatever comes next, and I'm not even scared. That's such a weird feeling. My whole life I've been petrified of the future, and it feels unnatural to be so calm about it.

And just as suddenly as it appeared, my foot pain is gone. That was a weird experience.

Witcher 3 (color enhanced)

Oh. My computer blue screened. I guess that'll happen when it's about 15 years old.
-
My foot fucking hurts. It's not like there's a reason for it to do that, it just suddenly decided it wanted to be really painful to put any weight on. The weird thing is I didn't even do anything that might have caused it. Last night when I was making dinner I took a step and it suddenly hurt, and literally the only thing I had been doing prior was standing still. It's progressively been getting worse, too. I just woke up from an unintentional nap and now the pain is barely tolerable when I walk.
Maybe I pinched a nerve or something. I don't know why else it would happen.

@Booker im no doctor or medical specialist so if it hurts that bad you should see someone with a license. To me, it looks like you could have just pinched a nerve or sprained/strained something in that area..

Ah. Another night with no sleep.
To be fair, it was my fault this time. I should know better than to stay up all night playing World of Tanks and writing. Time to slog my way through the aftermath of another all nighter and fight sleep for the next fourteen hours or so. Maybe I'll learn my lesson this time around. Who knows.

I expected Doom on Nightmare to be challenging, but it really isn't that bad, and I'm already almost done. I'm not saying it's easy, just that I usually don't die more than two times in the hard fights unless I'm being careless or trying to complete challenges. Halo Reach on Legendary was much worse. I think I lost a year off my life from the stress of doing that campaign solo.

I'm getting happier and happier with how I write. This line of dialogue isn't perfect, but it's the closest I've ever gotten to giving myself chills.
"When we fight, it is to the death. There is no greater honor than to die atop a pile of your fallen enemies, and we have a mountain to climb."

Ugh. I hate making sewing patterns.

Just saw something on Twitter and had a hilariously stupid idea.
Who's up for a game of tag, but with tasers?
EDIT: How about flashlight tasers... in the dark? I'd pay money to do that.

Does this sound like a somewhat okay plot line, or is it too far out there? I'm at the point in a fanfic where the story is getting deep, but I don't want it to sound too crazy or conspiracy-like or anything. I'll try to explain it as quickly and simply as I can.
There are two groups of ponies who have been rivals for nearly a thousand years. One pony, a gifted enchanter and one of six remaining leaders of group A, corrupts the opposing group B by sending them a pair of ponies, who use magicked items from the enchanter to take leadership of a part of group B. As leaders they cause infighting in that group, weakening them militarily. The enchanter in group A convinces the other leaders to attack group B unprovoked, with the ultimate goal of killing the other five leaders of group A during the hectic battles so he can take control as the sole leader of group A while wiping out the rival group in the process.
Hm. I just realized that what I made vaguely sounds like the plot for Attack on Titan. That was unintentional.
