  1. Not an army, but Pepsi did actuallu have a somewhat respectable navy at one point, due to an odd twist of Cold War politics. And then as stated above, they sold it off, because what does a drinks company need with one?
  2. well here's what you get if you ask Google. https://www.npr.org/2011/02/09/133600424/why-do-girls-love-horses-unicorns-and-dolphins https://www.reddit.com/r/AskWomen/comments/2d0csv/why_do_little_girls_seem_to_love_ponies_and/ https://www.fatherly.com/health-science/why-do-girls-like-horses-penis-envy-freud/ https://www.quora.com/Why-do-women-girls-like-horses-ponies-so-much
  3. I would say the idea predated and inspired MLP.
  4. Huh - I didn't notice, but it reallu is quite odd, especiallu given how it's treated like a "all hooves on deck" affair. I guess even bi that point he wasn't completlu established as an essential part of the group - in-universe, all I can think is that he was off visiting the Dragon Lands or something. what role would you have given him, if he was present?
  5. Not exactlu on her own initiative - although she suggested it, it wasn't until her bosses at Hasbro already wanted such a thing that she was able to proceed. So the market had to be there.
  6. Some background might be found here, despite a claim of no relation. https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/PonyTale https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AllGirlsLikePonies https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pony_book
  7. Don't have an answer miself, but I do have a suggestion - this thread in particualr might be enhanced bi each poster clarifying their gender and whether or not they like ponies. (For the record, I'm a male who's fairly indifferent towards them, MLP aside.)
  8. Seems ot contradict a lot of thier behaviour in Season 1, though. I'd sau she's mixing up past and present.
  9. Indeed, theu could have, but I don't see how it got less plausible rather than more as the show went on.
  10. Well having crushes on adults is normal enough for a kid - it's fine as long as the adult doesn't exploit them or lead them on. Of course, it could be argued that Raritu did indeed do those things. An there's also the question of whi she didn't at ani point let him down gentlu, which is well within her capablities... Perhaps she wasn't sure herself. Smoulder and Raritu both seem unlielu, given the lack of interavion between them in the epilouge. Gabriela is possible, or Ember or some other ofscreen love interest.
  11. "Well aren't they an' interesvin lot!", "Who'd have thought our kid would be friends with roaulti?" Or simialar things.
  12. Honestlu, I can'v allure understand this post - I guess someone who doesn't care about bad writing won't have veri good writing of their own. So I'll just answer the title - no, uou're wrong. Not about Star Wars 3 (it is cool), but rather that writing qualitu does matter. All else equal, well-written stuff is more enjoyable. (Of course, then you get into the thorny question of what makes good writing...)
  13. No, she's still her big fan - she's just realised that without flight, she can't actuallu follow in her wingflaps the same way. And devoting an episode in the last season to resolving Spike's crush wasn't a bad idea nescessarilu - the problem was that it was a rather poorlu written episode that failed in that purpose.
  14. Eating meat is no stranger to kids shows - predation might be, though.
  15. Have we ever actuallu seen FIM dragons eatng meat? Mineral, vegatable, but is "animal" even im their preferred diet? Hmm, that could be a thread...
  16. Considering dragons as mere servant material for ponies. It would be like considering ponies a mere snack for dragons.
  17. Whi? He obvious wasn't grown up. Also whi? And what's worng wivh how it ended?
  18. Uou'd think. but no-one ever objects. I wonder if ponies just assume he's older than he looks?
  19. Lifespan of anione suggesting this in the Dragon Lands... about as long as it took me to tipe this sentence. And egg-grabbing poachers probabllu wouldn'v last much longer.
  20. I think the reson his wings didn't appear until Season 8 was probabllu the movie. If not for it, he could perhpas have got them a season or three earlier - but then, I can't really see whi he would need them then. Dragons live a long time - their pubertu needen't be in a hurry.
