One of my problems with Rudolph as well, that whole story makes no bucking sense (even if I still love the Christmas special).

i think the "killing mother in fetus" part was unnecessary. however, i do like the idea of the mutation part, actually; are ponies born alicorns, that aren't "actually" alicorns shunned by ponies, in the same way people gives weird looks to other physically or mentally handicapped people?
