Or the moment Luna yells "Be still!", there was no echo in the german version. That definitely surprised me when I saw the clip, the echo in english gave me such goosebumbs, I love that moment!

I'm very thankful for all the people I have met on this forum and for the friends I made here.
I wanted to prove myself that I can become a better person as well. That I can become a loyal friend to others and also to myself. I struggled a lot with myself, couldn't accept my weaknesses and mistakes... But I learned to value these, since it helps me to improve even more. And now I can move forward no matter what happens.
Despite me using the internet since around 13 years, there was never a place and people I liked more than here. I was online here every single day, for barely over 2 months now! This is a new record, I never stayed in a public place for that long!
I don't plan to ever leave (anymore), but...I want to reduce my time I spend online here to once per week. After proving myself, it is way too much time I spend online and it becomes more difficult by the minute to find interesting things to talk about. This should keep things interesting and I'm going to look forward to it after a week! 
So you know, I'm not leaving. The only thing I quickly check every day is Discord.

Oh, it's okay that you're reducing your time here. It proves that you know how to balance things in life.
I'll miss seeing the username Heasol in my notifications the whole week, but since I know that it benifit my friend, I am completely fine with it. MLPF is such a friendly forum, I never had so much fun socializing anywhere else, and I know it's the same for you too.

Does anyone here have playlists for FiM-related content on YouTube? Or a list of content creators? The more the better!
I feel like I still miss out on a lot of good content. I especially enjoy creative works (animations, soundtracks). Commentary or discussion videos aren't for me. My absolute favorite content is the Rhythm is Magic stuff! Some channels I already know: Minty Root, ForgaLorga, doubleWbrothers, StormXF3, AgrolChannel.
I'm working on a small archive and I want to discover new things, so I will give eveything a chance.

This is my favorite fan art of G5:
It's also the best thing that came out of G5 so far, in my subjective opinion. It manages to do something that the movie wasn't able to do: It makes me laugh.
I don't really talk about G5 and avoid its topics for the most part, because I don't really have anything positive to say and I don't want to ruin the enjoyment for anyone.
But I wanted to at least make this post and share my thoughts with you.
With Hello Pinkie Pie, Pony Life, G5 movie and the 2D version probably as well, it is very clear that FIM was just something extraordinary and not the norm. Something they normally don't do. Everything besides FIM was never meant to appeal to me, I'm not their target audience.
Even though I'm a hardcore FIM fan, I'm always looking forward to new exciting and fresh things. That's why I gave the other content a chance too, I even watched the G5 movie 2 times to be absolutely sure, but it really didn't appeal to me. Everything, from the graphics, characters, designs to the songs - it wasn't for me. The pace was really weird and the writing... The whole thing is mediocre at best. Just...boring...
That's how I feel about it.
For the future it probably means that, if things and all the topics are more centered around G5, this will be the time when I become less active. I will always be here, since I love this place and you guys.
But I dunno, I hope there will at least always be a small circle of FIM lovers.

@Kujamih I’m coming into the series hoping that at least some of the burning questions get asked. If they don’t, then connecting it to G4 at all was a massive waste.
I never said I wanted it to end. If it did, what more can you do? I’m not demanding a deep dissection of the lore. I just want a simple explanation that makes me think ‘Great. Now I know how.’

Like Pony Life, I will definitely give the 2D version of G5 a chance. Maybe I will be positively surprised, but I doubt it.

@TomDaBombMLP G5 should have been its own thing, in my opinion. They are far in the future, which means most of the ponies we love (if not all) are dead, which will make G5 always a somewhat sad experience, no matter how "good" it can potentially become. But Hasbro is all about cash, I predict they will make use of the G4 ponies one way or the other. Maybe they were frozen in time and they will all appear again, similar to the Crystal Empire. Or as a (cheap) crossover. Maybe the G5 ponies will travel back in time. G4 was very successful, of course they won't entirely let go of that. But we, as loving fans, I doubt we will like what they are going to do, if I'm correct. Again, for them, it's all about money.
But "luckily" FIM ended. They can't go back and ruin any part of it anymore!
I don't view G5 as canon. To me, this is not the future of Equestria.

That's a very good point, @Kujamih. That's why I'm careful now and take longer breaks between the episodes. I don't want to overdo it.
Variety helps, such as other hobbies. But FIM is my life, it will be part of me until the day I die (and beyond)! The fan content also keep things exciting, there is new art every day. I estimated it will take me roughly 20 years to look through all of it.

I don't wanna scare anypony, but I think I will be a bit more quiet from now on. I'm not leaving of course <3 and not doing a break either.
But things feel like they are stagnating for me, becoming boring, predictable - especially here on the forum. Being like this also made it always difficult for me to have friends, in real life or online. Even if I talk to somepony nice, life quickly becomes routine, thus boring. I even find it incredibly hard to say a simple "hello" to people or a question like "how are you?". Small talk. When it's repeated every day, I don't even feel it anymore, even if it's genuine. It literally gives me depression. That's why I sometimes say weird things here or make longer analyzing posts. I'm not a funny person, it's all about variety for me. That's also why I avoid most media too, movies, music and all that. I'm an adventurer, I'm more of a creative person, I want to get stimulated - I neeeed variety. A normal life would be my biggest nightmare.
I'm not sure if anypony can relate, but if so, how do you handle this stuff? How do you keep friendships exciting? I love my friends and people, but I'm basically burned out of things to say...- Show previous comments 9 more

Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!!
I just watched Rainbow Road for the very first time and it was sooooo good!
It was 1 hour long. That's basically 2 episodes and 2 half episodes!
I didn't watch it yet, because I was kinda hoping for a translation to show up. Didn't happen. Then I forgot about it...
But finally...!!
Man... The music? Perfect! Story? Perfect! Characters? Super amazing, all of them! Makes me want to have more of it, haha.
Aaaahahaha, I can't stop smiling, I had to tell ya'll! That's what FiM always does...it makes me smile, it gives me warm feelings in my heart, makes me laugh and tear up...
Pinkie also had her creepiest moment (in my opinion) and Fluttershy was wearing those sock kinda thingies! Socks! Which was always a fandom thing for the most part.

I love Friendship is Magic sooo much! Watched two episodes to relax a bit and I can't help it to always smile, laugh, giggle or to feel with all the characters. I watch it for the seventh time since January and it still feels like the very first time.
It's hard to explain. My emotions explode in all directions every time! Just like the way Pinkie feels most of the time, it's exactly the same. The emotions are real.
I just need to turn on an episode and it usually begins with a nice, peaceful soundtrack and this makes me so happy already. And all the episodes, save for a very few, have happy endings. It's a feel-good show throughout. FiM really is pure love.

Normally I don't talk about such things...feelings...it's easier for me to be more happy and carefree around others. But with the amazing people I have around here and my friends, maybe... I dunno...
I feel like going in circles with my own thoughts and feelings since some years now.
I'm a strong believer of being truly yourself is the only right way to live. In my case, it led to a life where I can barely relate to anything. What most people say in real life doesn't even make sense to me. And the same is true when it comes to most media; movies, video games etc. But this place is different. And FiM.
We all don't even need to be the same, it doesn't matter, we all simply get along. I guess that's one reason why I'm less stoic and talk more. 
I never wanted to be alone, but I felt like I didn't have another choice. Being myself + not being alone hardly goes well together.
My biggest dream was always to be together with people I like and to work together on something bigger. I even dreamed about creating something that is very similar to FiM, I mean before I ever saw the show and knew what it was about. It's a funny coincidence.
But something in such a scale requires many people and a company, which would lead to even more problems and struggles in itself. FiM is the only fictional world I can truly relate to, it's just so similar to my one of my own ideas I had! I view it as a wonder that it exists in the first place. Whenever I play video games or watch other shows, there are always things that frustrate me, things, that I would have done in a different way. A little example would be the Pokémon games. The main games always start with a plant, water and fire starter. It's always the same and boring (for me). The evil group always has "Team" in front of their names and a predictable story. You can always recognize the evil leader in these games beforehand. I love the games for the nice music and colorful graphics. <3 But I also always see the potential and the depth it could have had otherwise. A game like Ocarina of Time is so easy, it makes collecting heart pieces not very rewarding. There is a lot I would just do differently, If I had control over it. I enjoy discovering new worlds, new creatures. Real life movies are about typical things, naturally. It doesn't excite me, personally.
I guess I'm just sad. I would love to be a creator, to go out there and offer the world more new and unique experiences, but these are things that are not liked nor wanted. The same way I can't relate to our world for the most part, the same way people can't relate to me and my stuff. And this weighs heavily on me ever since I started to work on creative stuff almost 4 1/2 years ago. Ever since, I'm so full of ideas, I enjoy nothing more! I see things that don't exist yet, I see so much potential in everything. But it also shows me how lonely I am with everything. I can't make stuff that has value to others. I'm too different. I even see flaws in some german laws. Or even in the way grammar works here. At least I can change the latter to something that is better in my opinion.
It seems I can only make things better for myself, not others.
I guess I'm myself...I'm just lonely with it. At least in this regard, when it comes to creative topics, not counting the lovely time we have here together.

Your interest in FiM is proof that there are people like-minded to you. They have similar values and interests to you, just like we do here, so you’re not alone
You know what? Forget all the social norms and the people who don’t like what you create! Create anyways! The only way to succeed with creativity is to work on it, polish it up, then take the risk of sending the work out into the public. I’m confident someone out there will like your work, even if the audience is smaller than you expected. Smaller audiences are great though, they are more open for discussion. Big audiences are way too concerned about what they want to see.
No matter what audience you get though, I highly encourage you to create, even if your work becomes something just for you at the end. Creativity is all about the artist’s passion and ideas, outside people don’t matter unless they have helpful criticism to provide.

Instead of creating things for others, why not create for yourself? You don't need validation from others to create. If you have ideas or vision, express them. Let them be something. If you die with these ideas, it'll be as if these ideas never existed. Many believe it's better to try something than to not try at all.
But whatever you decide to do, just know that you have my support, my friend.

Hello everypony.
This is my last post for now. I was very active since February, have made barely over 1,100 posts. This is a lot for a person like me. I reached a point where I've said everything I wanted to say, I tried to look for interesting topics and I'm out of words now. This is not a burn out or depression, I'm doing very good and can't complain about anything.
In real life I'm almost as silent as Marble Pie. Talking is not something that defines me as a person. I prefer actions over words. What works in real life is very difficult online, I can't see anypony, I can't give real hugs.
Once I feel like I do now, it will stay this way for a very long time. Silence is my life philosophy. It's just what I feel by default and makes me happy most of the time.
It's probably the easiest to imagine me as some kind of monk, haha. So I'm not going to use most websites I have an account on (Discord, DeviantArt etc.). Feel feel free to unfollow me if it bothers you. I still use Steam regularly though, so I'm not gone entirely.
This is not a good bye. When there are a ton of new things to talk about, I will come back. I want to always keep things genuine.
But for now it's time for me to spend a quiet and peaceful summer time with Starlight!

Are there any game developers in this forum? Or having an interest in this stuff?
I was wondering if someone feels similar, since most modern games (and media in general) don't really resonate with me. Thinking about MLP and older Anime stuff, where most things are about friendship, this is the kind of feel I like.

@Cloudy Heart A lot of stuff I've done is pretty much just experimental stuff.
I've dabbled with Zelda-like RPGs, top down shooters, danmaku/bullet hell and platform games. Mostly prototypes for learning how to build game mechanics and developing them for use when I want to bring the game ideas I have to life. All the stuff I've built is all 2D graphics. I'm hoping to return to them at somepoint.

Never let the world change you. Never make it lose your willpower and strength. It WILL be rewarded, even if it takes some years or decades.
I didn't expect much when I joined here. I always assumed I would eventually get hated with all the things I say and with the honest thoughts I share. I went all out, wanted to be myself no matter what. But I was never hated. Ironically, the exact opposite happened.
I'm happy to be in a good spot now. Life is never perfect, but it doesn't matter. To me it is. It's the final step for me to also entirely let go of the past. The present is about kindness and good people and this is all that matters. <3

I tend to use only the starter Pokémon in almost every game, which makes it relatively easy. I remember I tried to beat Pokémon Red with 6 Growlithes (Arcanines), because I got inspired by the Anime's Officer Jenny, haha. But I forgot I need to use different HM's to move on. This is something I like about Colosseum, XD and especillay generation 7, there aren't any.
Would you consider yourself an expert in things Pokémon? Did you participate in tournaments and breed Pokémon?
Aww, lucky! I know I received my first and only Mew thanks to another kid in elementary school. Besides Missingno, there was this trick to duplicate Pokémon while trading, right? This is how I've got Mew.

I used to just use the starters when I was younger and have them at really high levels to get through the game easy but I switched to using a team of 6 instead as I liked having more variety with the pokemon I was using during the game. Arcanine's a favourite of mine too, currently using Arcanine in my pokemon Shield team
I have quite a bit of experience with pokemon games but wouldn't say I'm an expert, I do EV train my teams but I don't really do any battling these days, probably the only example of me doing some more serious battling is the old Pokemon Battle Revolution battles on my youtube though those were still just fun random battles and I wasn't always using serious teams. I don't participate in tournaments or breed pokemon to get the best IV's though.
Yeah remember the Mew Glitch and Missingno. from the gen I games, those tricks still work on the Virtual console edition of those games on the 3DS but it won't let you transfer Mew's caught that way to the later games via Pokemon Bank/Transporter. You can tranfer Mew's hacked in other games to later games though as the hack check isn't that good and let's them be transferred.

Thanks to the EXP Share changes since Pokémon X, I always switch my team members and train them all.
Mainly for the Pokédex entries, though.
The battle facilities after the end of the stories are already difficult to me. I'm kinda interested to do more there in the future, maybe. My problem is that I prefer to use my favorite Pokémon, not the best ones.
Also many unevolved Pokémon are just too cute!
Right, I know this about Mew! It's possible to transer a caught Mew, but the process is very difficult. It abuses many glitches, changes your ID, the hidden ID and such.
But it's still a bummer we can't get Mew or other legendaries in the old games anymore. I have Pokémon Channel, so I can at least get a Jirachi.

SpoilerWoooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!! One week without MLP Forums!!! That was one of the craziest things I have ever done! But it was worth it! Now I feel full of power and excitement! I couldn't wait to go to sleep yesterday, because it means when I wake up, the 7 days are over!
I have to tell ya: After leaving and to wait for 2 days to pass, it already felt like an eternity!!! Which makes one week multiple lifetimes. Ahaha, oops! But I said it and wanted to stick with it. I feel like the protagonists from One Piece - didn't they also leave for some years and then return? I learned a lot in those yearsdays as well. Especially that this place and especially all my friends here are the most important to me... I...couldn't live without you anymore... A break of only 1 day (or 2 days at most) should be enough, when I need it. My thoughts were on my friends here every single day anyway, haha. Even if I don't always have to say much, I still want to be here for my friends, just like Fluttershy would.
I learned a lot about contrasts while I was gone. I could make a little blog about it if there is interest. Contrasts make life way more exciting and they make me appreciate more what I already have.
Going through the notifications only took me ~10 minutes, I had 40.
It might be a new record, but I'm not sure, haha. But I will look through the new stuff today, can't wait to see what I missed! I'm not going to do another break and will stay here. I think what I need is more like 1 or 2 days of break per week. I will just try different thngs until I find something that works for me!

@Heasol Yeah. Also, Rarity’s numbers went down a lot in Seasons 7 and 9!
When one is as big of a Mane Six fan as I am, their absences tend to be felt pretty strongly.
One thing that has become a funny running joke of mine is the fact that I have always had a burning hatred towards the Student Six.
Why is that? The fact that they were forcibly thrown into the series and that they expected us to think that they were worthwhile ‘replacements’. 
I mean, just look at that number drop for the Mane Six when they come in! I always avoid their episodes now.

No one can or should replace the mane 6, that's for sure. I mean the world already has a lot of characters in the show. The Pillars of Equestria are also pretty forgetable. To be entirely frank, even side characters such as Coco, Maud Pie or even Spitfire are way more interesting. These are memorable and lovable characters. And it was handled so well, they spend time with the mane 6 or some of them.
Makes it very personal and just a joy to watch.

I strive to become a true G5 shipper! I will go all out! And if the original show doesn't support my ships? Boycott! Am I doing it right? It's my first time shipping characters...

They stand together. And I'm confident Argyle's tail touches Hitch's body. That inspired me!
My idea:
SpoilerHitch very often visited Sunny when he was young and so he would also always see and talk to Argyle. He realizes that Argyle is a true stallion! Strong and very caring for his daughter and he falls in love. This inspires him to become a fighter for justice, he wants be a true stallion, just like him, and care for all the ponies. But he also knows that he is too young, which makes him sad too. But Hitch would be already happy to receive at least a little bit of praise, he doesn't even aim for a partnership or anything like that.
Argyle discovered a magical object and he accidentally activated it. Nopony knows and everyone assumes him dead, but he didn't die. He just vanished and was basically frozen in time. When he returns, he will be at the same age as he was in the beginning of the movie. And since Hitch grew older, naturally, their age will be a lot closer to each other! Since Hitch became a proper Stallion as well, he wants to take his chance now!

Glad I could let you explain. Personally, I am not going to ship them. I have no problem with male/male ships (I enjoy a few female/female ships myself), but I'm usually not one for huge age gaps. Argyle is old enough to be Hitch's dad, and Alphabittle might be the same. Just doesn't do it for me. But feel free to enjoy this ship as much as you like.

I'm thinking about talking about every single episode of FiM, after rewatching them. I would like to talk about my favorite moments per episode and make a small collection of images, combined to one bigger one.
I'm currently rewatching season 4, so I could start right away and talk about the first 3 seasons+ afterwards.
Would anypony here even be interested in that? I'm also not sure if it's better to make a blog or to use the topics for this, since there is a topic for every single episode. Part of me thinks a blog would be better, because I'm very interested in your opinions as well. And to have it all in one place, if I want to look at it in the future.

I basically wanted to make my own screenshots, make them smaller and turn them into one bigger image, @ExplosionMare.
This is the only rule I gave to myself. I don't think I have thaaat much to talk about, haha. Or I will just use one blog entry for multiple episodes, depending on how much I have to say. On the other hand, it would be nice to also post GIF's and video clips, from Derpibooru and YouTube respectively. There are many great scenes and an image wouldn't do them just!
