      Yes, it's because you can access this memory (read and/or write) in any order you desire at any time  and you do not need to wait until the location becomes available. 

      In contrast to an random access memory would be for example an old magnetic tape where you would have to wait until the tape has been fast forwarded   to the position you want to access

    I think ... it was around 1997/98 in my school in the computer science class .. But this is so long ago ... I know later when I got at my parents place and I started to explore the internet

    Ohhhhhhhhh yes! I remember this and loved it as a child Since I'm from Germany I saw a different version than the original one. In the German version of this as called "Disney Club" (and later "Tigerenten Club", but this is a different story) So many amazing cartoons I learned and now from this show: Disney Gummy Bears, Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck and many more Sometimes one of the old Moderators pop up in the TV and I remember those moments. Good old times and memories

    Ive stopped reading fanfics a long time ago. I just don't have the time anymore in my life to do it However, once in my life i did read these. Actually, I used to read english fanfics to boost my understanding of English when I was in midschool Back then most often I picked anime fanfics
