Everyone would die, as ponies are herbivores and plants need light to grow. Even if unicorns could use their magic to provide "fake" sunlight, most ponies would freeze to death anyway due to the lack of warmth from the sun. Everyone might be able to survive for a short bit of time, but I doubt very long. Imagine if Nightmare/Luna trapped her sister on the sun. So, she'd be forced to live on the barren planet all alone. Not only that, but she'd also be filled with guilt for killing an entire planet that was once beautiful and filled with life. What confuses me though is why people say Celestia wasn't justified in sending Luna to the moon. Seriously, if she didn't do that everyone would probably die. That's why I hate when Celestia is portrayed as an evil tyrant would sent Luna (and often others) to the moon for no reason. I mean, I'm fine when it's used for comedy, but otherwise nope.

You CAN watch it on TV, on Treehouse. The thing is all of their shows aside from MLP (Dora, Max and Ruby, Barney, the Backyardigans, Calliou and the like,) are centered towards a slightly younger target audience than MLP. It's frequently called "that baby/toddler channel" if I were to bring it up in a conversation. It's completely humiliating to be caught watching it unless you have little kids or brothers and sisters. Maybe I'm over-exaggerating for point, but unlike the Hub I feel completely embarrassed watching it. Not only that, but I'm pretty sure Treehouse hates the show. They only air it maybe 2-3 times a week, and they prefer episodes over others it seems. They've censored out the word loser at least four times, and they finally started airing season 2 a couple months after season 2 was finished. I'm not even sure that they've aired all of season 2 as of now. They consistently aired episodes until Baby Cakes and I think they went straight to Canterlot Wedding after the break. http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png Also, they air these awful Manon shorts right before and after them with abysmal voice acting and animation, but I guess I can't blame them for filling the space that would typically be used for commercials. They seem to be treating it a bit better now that they have more than 26 episodes to work with, but they still are TREEHOUSE. I have this feeling that Teletoon, YTV or Family (Family airs Strawberry Shortcake, so why not? I believe YTV airs Transformers and Pound Puppies ) would treat it somewhat better. Besides, MLP would fit with the other programming on those channels rather than Dora the Explorer. Youtube and livestreams are the best things ever.

Equestria Daily always posts a list of streams to watch episodes on a couple hours before the episode premieres, and there's usually about 6 to choose from. Bronystate is always the busiest though, and they have 6 separate rooms to choose from represented by different ponies. I've been there every time that I've watched MLP live (which was only the Discord episodes, Lesson Zero, MMMystery and the season finale) and although the chat does get very busy and somewhat distracting, I prefer watching it live there way more than watching it on Youtube later. It's even worth sitting through all of the awful Snuggle toilet paper and stupid TV only product ads. Gee, American TV sure is...something.

I gave candy to a little girl who was a humanized Fluttershy. It was freezing cold here in Canada, so her nice homemade costume was covered up in layers so she could trick-or-treat without turning into ice. Actually, I also saw a teenage guy wearing a Rainbow Dash hoodie. I wasn't sure if it was a legit costume (kind of a lazy one too) or he just likes the show and wears MLP clothing regularly. Then again, I never see any bronies in my small-ish town anyway.

It's my head cannon that she was raised by Earth ponies. She didn't have a Pegasus guardian who could teach her how to fly, and that's also part of the reason she lives in Ponyville and goes to an Earth pony school. Schooling probably has something to do with it too, as it seems like most pegasi go to flight school. They may learn how to fly there.
