I would laugh when they make fun of me. If they got physical with me for it I wouldn't mind giving them a brohoof to the face 

 

Teachers and School Officials simply don't care. Either you do or don't in this situation. Unless you go to the police then that is a solution but that starts up a bit of drama but whatever works

hmm, i know this topic all too well. I haven't gotten bullied myself, but thats only because i hid myself away within all the bullies and jerks. I basically got myself into that group that way i can protect myself, i dont partake in any of the bulling myself, but there have been instances where i saw horrible things happen to innocent people. Many have told me how wrong i am for doing all that but i was just so scared, i just wanted an easy school experience and i got that.

I agree with this but being nice to the bullies can still backfire. I don't know what your experiences are with bullying so I am not trying to sound disrespectful or anything but I had been nice to bullies before and they didn't give a flying pegasus about how nice I was to them so they just kept on anyways. I think it really just depends on the type of person they are themselves. Like if you can show them kindness and friendship in the purest form then get away with it go for it! If they beyond the point of that helping then just ignore them or scoff at their remarks. The system seems to back up bullies a large amount so going to a teacher or principle wouldn't help much. Gosh how many times they got away with stuff at my school was ridiculous. Eventually I just came to terms with either they can end up nice or they are just gonna stay jerks.

 

Pretty much what I am saying I agree with trying to show them how nice we are but not all the time it works. There are just some bullies that don't care.

I haven't really been bullied before, so I don't know if I have much credibility. That being said, someone who attempts to bully me over something as trivial as a television show is probably not worth my time.

Niceness is not weakness. Anger is weakness. Niceness actually takes enormous strength of will. (As does remaining pleasant and calm when you're being treated badly.)

 

I got bullied a great deal in high school. I expect I'll be intervening in bullying incidents for the rest of my career as a high school teacher. My best advice is to learn to take it in stride, and learn to laugh at yourself. It doesn't always work, but it helps to de-escalate possible incidences, and it presents yourself as a down-to-earth, good-natured person which makes you less of a target. (If you react by yelling and throwing punches over dumb verbal harassment you'll look like a violent lunatic, which will draw even more dislike towards you.)

 

When they are persistent regardless of your actions, or they employ physical violence, speak to teachers and do everything you can to ensure it doesn't escalate to a level where your safety or theirs is in jeopardy. Also, learn a little self defence, as a 'just in case' scenario.

Ask him/her that you accept yourself for who you are, so why can't they. Automatically puts everyone against that person. Only thing he/she can do is make an awkward comeback that will ultimately end up failing if you are confident enough. <- That's what I would do if I wasn't a closet brony, I did it before defending Fairy Tail, but then again immediately afterwards I found out half the room watched it and the kid lost.
