How would you feel if MLP started using skits?

This is just an idea that me and a friend came up with once while talking about MLP. Basically, how would you react if MLP started incorporating little comedy skits before or after an episode that were completely unrelated to it? Or maybe in-between episodes?

Personally, I think it'd be a great way to expand on secondary/background characters and maybe even throw some nods to the fandom. I know I'd love to see Celestia and Luna interacting with each other in a way that isn't just spouting exposition. I'm aware that a few episodes have done things kind of similar, but they usually take place in the episode or serve as a set-up for it.

If it is only taking place between episodes, or outside the actual episode itself I'd be ok with it. It could certainly show how normal ponies interact with each other, and maybe even give some development to fan groups like lyra and bonbon.

Ooh, I've thought about this before too. Community did it and they were some of the best moments of the series.

I would love it if the MLP episodes ended with short skits starring Spike.

He's a good source of comedy, and it would help round out inconsistencies in his characterization very nicely.

I think that the issue with most of the Spike episodes is that he (especially with his inconsistent characterization) just works better in small doses, so something like this would be perfect for him.

I wouldn't mind. That sounds really cute and funny. I would LOVE watching a Pinkie skit. She could do some Loony Tunes like gags and everyone would react to them. Also, there could be gags with side and background characters. It would defiantly be something new that I would welcome to the show.

Unless they're at the end, skits tend to work better in the middle separating two 10 minute episodes. (Ren and Stimpy comes to mind). Idk about on MLP, I think introducing them would be disruptive. I say stick to comedy and character development within the context of an episode.

However, an episode featuring several short stories in it could be cool. Futurama has done that on several occasions and has allowed them to use different animation styles and explore certain scenarios that would not happen in the regular context of the show. So doing something like that would be really interesting

I wouldn't mind these, if they're at the end of the episodes (for example: during the credits), then I'd enjoy watching them. :)

I think it could be great online content for the official MLP website. We already get so many fan videos of this nature, it would be nice to see some that are canon. And I love the idea of developing characters that they just don't have the time for in the show. I wouldn't want these sketches to cut into valuable episode time.
