gaming Super Smash Bros 4 is an incomplete game. Who do you blame? Sakurai or the fans?

Yeah, I didn't hear anything about this happening to Smash 4, but I do remember the complaints about Brawl's story being uploaded. Honestly, I don't see the big deal, but Nintendo is just weird when it comes to things like this. I remember reading an article not too long ago, talking about why Nintendo didn't intend to have any kind of streaming support for their console despite streaming becoming fairly popular in the gaming community. I believe Reggie said something like they don't think it's fun to watch someone else play games. I don't really know how to word it, but Nintendo's very much fixated on their idea of fun: that's why I wouldn't be super surprised if they cut having a story to Smash 4 after thinking about how people uploaded subspace emissary to youtube.

On another note, I actually liked subspace emissary. The gameplay was super lame, but the cutscenes and locales were interesting enough.

But still, the 3DS version will have Smash Run mode for an adventure mode-style gameplay fix,

Ha, I guess it is sort of like adventure mode. Everytime I see it ( or even think about it!), I can't help but think of city trial. I loved Kirby Air Ride way too much

Well, that's kind of stupid. I'll be getting this game when it comes out(assuming I get a Wii U by then), but I agree that Sakurai wasn't thinking. And he's probably the only person to overreact and pull something like that. (That I know of)

Talk about "no spoiler alert".

I can wait on seeing it released, but I guess Nintendo just really wants to surprise their customers. I can't blame 'em. Nintendo's been going down in popularity in recent years.

First of all if I remember correctly, nothing was leaked, as none of it was even done. Sakurai basically didn't include one at all because he knew all the scenes would be on youtube immediately anyway.

Second of all, either way I see this as Sakurai's fault. This shit happens to every game, and honestly never seem to impact the sales of the game or the enjoyability of the source of the cutscenes. He's over-reacting, plain and simple.
