I wouldn't have called myself a huge fan of Metallica if I didn't have multiple albums by them

And not Kill Em All? I am disappoint.

 

And not a lot of people don't like it, just that it's getting there. When you release an album after St. Anger, it better be good enough to make us forget about it. Death Magnetic was average in all honest, so it's a way of saying "Yeah, we're getting there - give us some time."

This was a metalcore side project by Tim

Mcilrath of Rise Against. I'm pretty sure he used a fake alias for this band over fear of his record label not approving of him being in two bands.

The bulk of my top-tier favorite Metallica songs are actually off of ...And Justice For All. 'Blackened' is one of them, 'One' is obviously one of them (still haven't read the book that's based off of).

As much as I adore the first three albums, this one stood out to me the most when I heard it in full for the first time. Something about the overall sound struck me as being different from the first three. I believe a good way to describe it is that the album has a more technical edge compared to the three previous, and I inherently prefer the technical stuff over anything else.
