I skip past the songs on MLP, anybody else do the same?

If you skip all the songs, then what's the point in watching some of them? A lot of them are very relevant to the plot. Do you honestly not like any of the songs?

Skipping over the songs, is like...skipping over the action bits in an action movie. You're missing part of the point of watching the show. It's a show meant for little girls, so of course there's gonna be songs in it.

The only song I skip over is the intro, and that's because i'ts the intro...I skip over the intro to every TV show I watch. Because I've seen said intro  enough times. I wanna get right to the episode. In fact, I get excited when I know a song is coming up. Or when i'm watching a new episode, I hear a song startup, I get REALLY excited.The songs are one reason why I love the show. :squee:

Nope, except for the title song sometimes(I do that with almost everything) in fact I may be the only person who thinks this, but I think there should be more songs. I am the type who really LOVES musicals a LOT. So , all though there are some songs I like less than others, I would never skip over the songs.

I could never skip the songs.  I love almost all of them.  But I guess I could understand if someone wanted to.  Typically, I'm not big on musicals, and there have been many musical movies where I got kind of annoyed at times and just wished they'd talk normally.  Nightmare Before Christmas is an example.  It's always such a beloved movie, but honestly, and maybe everyone will want to shoot me for this, but I didn't really enjoy it.  I respect it as a brilliantly made, very unique movie, but it weren't my cup a tea simply because I didn't care for the songs.  Just something about em.  I just found myself constantly thinking, "Oh, here they go again.  Just talk, dammit!"  I just wanted to know if there was a chase, and if so, was there a way to cut to it.  So, yeah.  I don't think I'll be watching Les Misrababblebles anytime soon.   But I just love the MLP songs.  They're like the hot fudge on a sundae.

Absolutely not.  One of the biggest reasons FiM became such a hit is because its songs are so high-grade compared to the stuff in... every other kids' show I can think of.  It's like nearly Disney-tier.  Extremely well-crafted, extremely catchy.  I daresay anyone who skips the songs might as well skip a random 5-minute chunk in every single episode, 'just because'.  You're missing out, like, hardcore missing out.

...Though admittedly, I do often skip the intro.  No matter how much I tried to get myself to be okay with it, it's gross and epitomizes the 'cesspool of low-quality shows for girls' that FiM rose so high above.  Though the actual visuals of the intro are nice and the later bits of the song are okay, the "My little poooonyyyyy~~~~~~" part still makes me cringe ;_;

Whaaattt!!? How could you skip through the songs?? The songs are actually the reason why i like My Little Pony because i find it to be really good and very catchy. Like others have said it also contributes to the plot. I always get excited when a song is coming up because they are 99% of the time REALLY good!

When I first became a brony and watched Season 1, I skipped past every song.

After watching Season 2 and listening to all the songs, I went back and re-listened to the content that I missed, and I only disliked Winter Wrap Up.
