I'd have to go with the Cloudsdale anthem, because it was yet another in the already too long list of dumb Spike moments (especially in Season 4). Although, to its credit, the lyrics are funnier than the song from "The Show Stoppers", which had a better context and was an overall better episode (except in moral).

The songs themselves are roughly equal. I had to decide based on the episodes they were in.

Actually, you have to vote for the worst.

Oops. Thanks for pointing this out.

EDIT : It was amusing because it was so bad. So, I'm confused as to what I should go for.....

I had to go with Spike's disaster of an anthem mangling. The CMC at least knew and rehearsed what they were doing. Spike went in blind and said as much. Poor guy was doomed.

Yes, I was wondering that too. "Worse" can be misleading here.

The CMC song is a wonderful parody and homage to hair metal in its entirety, a genre with which I am familiar and sometimes enjoy. The guitar work is actually pretty excellent and the singing, while purposely not traditionally good, still hit many notes and fit the parody theme it was going for.

Spike's anthem felt like cringe-worthy filler that I couldn't even sit through because even he knew he was embarrassing himself. The joke went on too long where it didn't do that in the CMC song because the CMC song was actually a song and there were other visual gags to go with it. They also weren't aware they were making fools of themselves.

I actually like the CMC song. I greatly dislike Spike's attempt at the anthem. Spike's attempt gets the vote for me.

I liked Spike's anthem as part of the story, but it makes me a little uncomfortable every time I see it. I think it's because I can relate to his situation. When I was a kid I was forced to play the main role in a play version of Aladdin, so I had to sing all the songs in front of crowds of people despite pleading with the teachers to let me be something else. I had (and still have) massive stage fright, and it was more or less my worst nightmare. I'm still a little butthurt about it, 8 years later.

Wow, I actually liked them both.

CMC I thought was funny not because it was bad, but the fact that if Sweetie Belle had sung the song it would've most likely been very good. And the fact that you get used to the song after a while.

As for Spike, dang, I cringe everytime I hear that song. I feel bad for the guy, it's not easy being humiliated in front of million of adoring fans like that. So I'd have to say Spike gets it.

Spike's attempt was definitely worse. The CMCs were rehearsed, so they were not nervous and also had costumes and set designs, even if they weren't very good.

Though the thing to remember is that they were bad ON PURPOSE. So I really can't pick a worse because they're on the same level to me...

How do you think WE feel?!

You gotta care, you gotta share (wait that wasn't on the list?!?)

So on the list there is the purposefully bad song and the purposefully bad and cringeworthy song that IMO missed the timing for about every joke.

So If I had to be tied up in a room and listen to songs that were written to be bad (can't I pleeease pick share?) I'd take CMC.

I couldn't handle spike's anthem song. The first time I watched it, I felt embarrassed because he was embarrassing himself.

Now its to the point where I mute the television every time I see that scene.

Spike's Anthem is so second-hand embarrassment cringe worthy terribleness that I must choose it. I can't even watch when he does it it's so embarrassing.

CMC's song could actually turn out nicely. It's a shame we never got to see them to perform with the roles that would've made benefit of their abilities, as the episode suggested.

Spike's anthem attempt though... it was hilarious, while simultaneously painful to watch, lol.
