gaming Nostaglic Video Game songs that literally make you cry whenever you hear them?

I'd say a had a pretty good childhood, but if there was a song that I considered nostaglic AND made me cry upon hearing it, it'd have to be this.

The freaking ending sequence of Hey You, Pikachu. It sounds foreboding in the beginning until 0:16 where professor oak tells you abandon your friend to live happy and free in the forest. You had to say "goodbye" to pikachu through the microphone while this music was playing. Talk about heartbreaking... Sure he returns in the end, but... just screw you, Oak...

@@Barbaloot: I love the Mother 2 / Earthbound soundtrack; "Smiles and Tears" gets me, too lol.

 

Honestly, the themes that play during the ending / staff rolls of several Mario games tend to move me.  Particularly the following two:

 

Skip to about 0:34 / 35, and then wait until about 1:03...  Yeah, that's the stuff.

 

Strongest feels arrive at about 1:12 / 13 for me. xD
