movies/tv Worst sitcoms on TV?

Oh dear Lord.

Where do I start?

From the very beggining never... have I EVER... found "Hot in Cleveland" funny.

It just another sitcom loaded with sex jokes and 40 year old women.

If it wasn't for Betty White, the show wouldn't gather much attention, if any at all.

So what sitcom do you consider a piece of trash?

Big Bang Theory. Granted, i haven't seen too much of it. I just remember watching an episode, seeing them making a joke that fell flat on me, and listening to the obnoxious laugh track while they did it. No thanks

Pretty much what Matter Horn says, any one of those sitcoms on Nick or Disney. The ones on Disney pretty much all use the same type of forced humor, sterotypical characters, and overuse of laugh track well the ones on Nick at least try for variety, but ultimately fail at being of any sort of quality and ends up falling under the same problems as the Disney ones.

How I met your mother (never liked that show, it felt like that movie that was for some reason a TV show and for some reason the feel or the look of it depressed me)

Everybody loves Raymond (that show always felt so cheap and boring)

Spy (Spy comedy on Sky 1, I liked it at first but after a while the guys kid was a real annoying little beep and the whole show just fell flat on it's face and I realised it was crap)

The new Scrubs (the new one where JD left etc)

If you are talking about ever?

Full house. It was the worst ever because it was the most mediocre ever. It didn't even have a redeaming "it's so bad its good" quality, it was just endless drab family friendly boringness.

Hmm... hehehe, well, how about Rosanne? *makes noise, points to tongue*

On the opposite note, a show that many people dislike, is one that I actually like... Seinfeld.

But, I'd hope we can all agree on one thing - Friends is awesome!

EDIT:

Just had to put this here:

Disney Channel...I especially had it in for Zack and Cody. I just hated that one more than the others. I don't know why. I found the Sprouse brothers both repulsive and intriguing at the same time.

I think the worst one had to be this one from the early-mid 2000s on CBS called "Still Standing". It was about this family in Chicago that had a dumb, lackadaisical father (you see where this is going already?) and a scheming, foolish mother. They had three somewhat quirky kids, a teenaged boy who is an honors student but whose manhood is frequently questioned, a teenage popular girl who challenges the norms of authority and hates her life, and a grade school-age young girl (think target audience of MLP young) who I swear could be some kind of f**k**g robot or something :eww:, she's weird. She's supposed to be the smartest one there (oh joy, another cliche, the youngest, most innocent-looking kid being the most clever one) and she gives me the vibe of being some kind of animatronic. Like VICI from "Small Wonder" kind of vibes. "Small Wonder" itself is another story. I haven't watched enough episodes, so I'll reserve judgment on that.

If the parents hadn't been so cut-and-dry stereotypical and idiotic, if they had focused on the kids a bit more, and if the writing had been just plain BETTER, they could've had a good show on their hands. But yet I find this show a guilty pleasure just for how good I think it could have been. I find it oddly intriguing to watch.

Two of the main character archetypes from this family (the father and the youngest daughter) are also present in "The Amazing World of Gumball", and I think this presence drags down that show a little bit as well, but that show saves itself by focusing on the kids mainly and having a more appealing cast outside of the home. It also doesn't hurt that Gumball is a cartoon that has an anything-goes type of format as far as story and character concepts, but that's a bit of a tangent. I'm just showing how this concept could have been fixed up a bit.

Additionally, I'll give a dishonorable mention to "Two and a Half Men" after Charlie Sheen's character was killed off. Kutcher's character just comes off as unfunny to me. Not that Men was top-tier comedy to begin with. :eww:

"The King of Queens" was a favorite of mine as a kid, but it was kinda hit-or-miss. Most of the show is about Doug (Kevin James) being a complete doofus in front of his wife and friends and when that fails, it fails miserably. :okiedokielokie:

The Big Bang Theory

I used to hate it too, but when I got through a few more episodes I started to enjoy it more.

Everybody Loves Raymond

THIS. I never found Everybody Loves Raymond funny whatsoever.

On the opposite note, a show that many people dislike, is one that I actually like... Seinfeld.

Seinfeld is my favorite show of all time  :D

Big Bang Theory. But i believe people already are aware :P

This self praising nerdish culture agenda needs to go away. Liking something is cool though :)

None of them that I have ever seen have ever been particularly amusing to me. That includes the big ones like Seinfeld and Big Bang Theory. I just don't find the kind of humor that they go for funny, and I find the laughing tracks to be incredibly irritating and forced.

There was actually one that I remember thinking was okay. However, I don't remember its name. It would play during lunchtime at work and would always be on the TV. However, it got switched to another one with a delivery truck driver or something that I have never paid attention to because I never found it funny.

Big Bang Theory gets my nomination. I can see why it might have an appeal like it does. It uses these 'nerdy' things like comics, video games, and stuff like that, stuff that is very relatable to a lot of us. I like that idea! However...the humor is just bad. I have only seen a couple of episodes and snippets of others so maybe I am wrong, but from what I seen, the humor mostly consists of a character saying something geeky to someone that isn't geeky and it is just this awkwardness that is supposed to be funny. For me, it lost its appeal after the first one I seen. To me, this is subtle humor done entirely wrong. Plus, Sheldon (I think that's his name) is such an annoying character. I get it, he is supposed to be this super nerd but again, the awkwardness he creates doesn't strike me as funny, it strikes me as awkward and boring. That's my opinion though.

I hardly ever watch sitcoms but the worst one I've seen was Marvin Marvin. It follows Lucas Cruikshank (aka Fred Figglehorn) as an alien called Marvin who was sent by his parents to be safe from invaders and it's just awful. It got cancelled only a few months after. I've seen Nickelodeon pull the plug on a lot of failed sitcoms.
