Interests before becoming a brony/pegasister?

I am going to get a lot of hate for this but best be honest.

Literally right before I was a Brony I was a bit of an Anti-Brony actual not a bit but a lot, I am one of those who was told to watch it but every time just called the other harsh names or cuss at them because I went along with social media.

I was kinda a furry. I was starting to get into that. But before that, halo. I'm a massive halo fan. Give me the choice between world peace, or everything halo, and I'd choose halo. I still love halo.

To be honest, I love seeing these kind of messages. I like seeing how Anti-Bronies actually see what this fandom is really about and actually joins it. I see no reason to give you hate

I was a lonely, depressed, and dysphoric mess... I was sorta in the sonic fandom, but they where assholes. I played video games, worked, schooled, really had nothing to live for until ponies came into the mix

I haven't changed what I like since becoming a brony.  But being part of the fandom is helping with my shyness.  The openess of the fandom takes out a lot of the stress of meeting new people whether its online or afk.

Gaming (PC Master Race )

 

RPGs (Pen and Paper kind as well as video game kind)

 

Science!!!  Especially Paleontology.

 

Scouring the net for wierd/funny stuff.

Before I was a pegasister, I was an obsessive Pokemon fan. And... I'm still an obsessive Pokemon fan.

 

I was a pokemon fan until my house wad robbed and all of our electronics were taken, our Nintendo stuff were the things I never bothered to get back.

Well... nothing really. xD I didn't have a specific interest that I just stopped liking when MLP came along. If I had to pick something... I was a MySims Fan, since I found out about MLP through a person's avatar on Mysims Wiki. I liked playing the games (mostly the one called Skyheroes) and going to the wiki.

Well, MLP is relatively a very small 'obsession' for me. Hence why I don't call myself by a fandom label of any kind. No interests or obsessions died when I became into MLP. Me getting into MLP was just a very natural progression from my long-time interest in watching cartoons/anime. Now getting into the toys? That was a little out there for me!

 

My biggest interest over the last ten years has been music. That most certainly did not die when I got into MLP. I got my tenor saxophone and oboe after I started watching, after all. =P It's the one interest I can really call an 'obsession'. I have been more obsessed with these instruments than an usual teenager would be in getting a car and learning to drive. Oh, and that definitely applied to me as a teenager, too. I was more obsessed back then, in fact. Music, is the only place where I have labeled myself... Hence my title "Band Nerd for Life".

 

Previously I was at very embarrassing levels of obsessions with games, too, though. First Pokemon (first generation, especially, but also second), second Animal Crossing (GCN), then The Sims (TS2 was when I was obsessed, but I love TS3 as well), and lastly Super Smash Bros. (I loved Melee, so I was really looking forward to Brawl. Big mistake. xD). Although it must be noted that my obsession with gaming rapidly died off prior to The Sims 'obsession'. 'Tis when I entered high school. I got a social life, and got most interested in music, and really pushed video games aside. I was more interested in talking about The Sims 2 and Super Smash Bros. Brawl than I ever was playing them. Sad story.

I was a proper 'mosher' as they call them.

I listened to all sorts of metal/screamo bands. I still do, but I realized that bands from that genre are capable of being terrible.

I would also obsess over band members, often the lead singers to no end. I still have posters of Gerard Way all over my walls from when I went through my MCR phase. XD

I've been into My Little Ponies my entire life~ so before that fandom, I was.... a baby XD 

 

But before FiM, I was a massive gamer. Final Fantasy, Zelda, Animal Crossing, Soul Callibur III were among my favs. I've always been into animes as well, and into the furry fandom off and on since 2007.
