So since its October I was just wondering what everyponies favorite horror movie is, and what movie has scared you the most. For me my favorite is Rob Zombie's first Halloween, and the one that scared me the most was The Grudge.

My Favorite: Any of the Nightmare On Elm Street films. I'm watching the second one right now  :P  Though it is the worst of all the films in the franchise.

I would also say the Child's Play films but I find those more funny if anything.

Scared me the most: The Dentist. That movie completely gave me terrors.

and I had a dentist appointment the very next day when I first watched it.

EDIT: OH SWEET APPLESAUCE I FORGOT ALL ABOUT THE MOVIE THE SLIT MOUTHED WOMAN. THAT MOVIE WAS FRIGGIN SCARY AS HELL. The foreign one, not the american film. The american one was so stupid and full of raunchy scenes that were totally not needed. -Actually...was there an american one? I can't remember...I swear there was 2 films...one was in japanese or something and the other was in english...  -

HAHA I love all the Nightmare on Elm Street movies(even the remake), I honestly think the worst one though is "Freddy's Dead".

Eh, I mean as many movies as there are I feel like it carried on just enough for me not to hate it. Freddy's Dead was actually the first one I watched, so it at least was appealing enough for me to watch the other ones.

Unlike Friday the 13th, which is just god awful and has too many movies.

The only Friday the 13th movie I really cared for was Jason Goes To Hell just because of that last scene with Freddy's hand

I literally could only stand Freddy Vs Jason for the soul purpose of Freddy being in it.  :nom:

Haha yeah, I love arguing with people over that movie especially when they say Jason won, the writers wrote it just so according to who your favorite was they where the winner when in reality it would be a never ending war.

Jason is so bleh, I mean he literally fell over when a pipe of water busted and went all over him.

At least Freddy has some dignity when things go wrong, mostly just screaming actually  :P

Hellraiser may or may not be my favorite horror movie, but I will say this. It's the ONLY horror movie to actually truly frighten me. I saw it when I was a touch too young to be watching such things. I used to regularly swipe my BBBFF's video tapes (Remember those) and watch them.

My favorite scary movie is the original Halloween 2.  The movie that probably scared me the most the first time I saw it was "Darkness Falls".  I'm scared of the dark, and so adding a creature that moves with the darkness and kills anyone who sees it freaks me out XD

I LOVE LOVE LOVE John Carpenters "The Ward" Its so amazing and really makes you think, It is one of those where after the plot twist, you have to go back and re-watch it again. I have seen it soooo many times. I highly recommend it.

Also there was Carved, as a lot of people on these forums seem to like, it was super creepy. I haven't watched it in a while, but I remember most of it, and the back story is great, and twisted.

And these there's Grave Encounters. Scariest movie I have ever watched. I actually hid under my blanket for one scene O.O I was terrified. Jump scares get me  ALLLL the time, but this one had me scared AFTER the jump scare was over.

John Carpenter's Vampires is my favorite of his movies (other than Halloween)

Saw was good, although it isn't very scary. I liked origanal Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street. The one that scares me most is Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses. Some screwed up shit in that one.

my favorite Horror movies are the ones that are beautiful at the same time.

otherwise their Just blood and guts or oohh that ghost and or demon is gonna get you

ghost ship

is great the a way that it made laugh, cry and freaked me out all at the same time.

mama

was also great, I like the concept of those girls being raised in the wilderness by a ghost.

it also reminded me a bit of the graveyard book (I'm pretty sure the graveyard book doesn't have a movie)

but only in concept not in plot.

13 ghost

I loved this movie as a child even though it scared the heck outta me  ^_^

it was about this old man who collected spirits in these prisons and after he dies

his family inherits the house with out realizing that its ghost prison.

it had a lot freaky scenes with funny ones sprinkled in.

and finally Hocus pokus

because why not, it October.
