Theory What are your favorite headcanons/theories/ships?

Since there are more fan theories I like than dislike, I decided to make this thread.

 

My favorite fan theories/ships are:

 

- All of the background six (not sure if this is really a theory, per se)

 

- Doctor Whooves is The Doctor

 

- Doctor x Derpy, Celestia x Discord, Chrysalis x Fluffle Puff, etc.

 

- Daring Do x Indiana Jones (don't give me that look  )

 

- Applejack's parents are dead

 

- Colgate has time-warping powers

 

- Celestia trained Twilight to be a potential successor (but without her consent)

What happened was that the ponies (in terms of development) were similar to humans in technological progress, and then discord apocalypticizes everything, (MLP Tales could happen slightly before this.) Then Hearth's Warming Eve events happen, and another few thousand years and G4

- Appleack's parents are dead

- Scootaloo has no parents/is an orphan/lives alone

- Discord is Starswirl

- Alicorns are Not immortal, they just have longer lives

01: Scootaloo is the daughter of the mayor of Cloudsdale. Her family is very rich, and she's afraid that Applebloom and Sweetie Belle with think she's a snob like Diamond Tiara if they find out. She ran away from an exclusive boarding school, lives in the CMC clubhouse, and LOVES being just a regular filly like her best friends.

 

02. Celestia and Luna are from another world entirely. Their starship is now the castle in the Crystal Empire.

 

03. Twilight truly loves Princess Celestia. Now that she's a princess too, eventually she and Celestia will marry.

(grow up. There's nothing wrong with that!)

Vinyl x Octavia: lets just say my head canon for this is enough for a substantial fanfic. 

 

Rarity x Applejack x Rainbowdash: I support both Rarijack and Appledash because in my head canon Rarity and Dashy love AJ equally for different reasons, and the conflict that could arise from those two huge personalities with the dead pan farmer pony in the middle is just a humorous image for me. Not a clue what the name of that ship should be. 

 

Pinkie is Cassandra: In Greek Mythology there is a person by the name of Cassandra who was blessed with the power of Prophesy and cursed with the fact that no one will ever believe her. In much the same way Pinkie Pie can see into the future and tell of things she should have no knowledge of but none of the ponies ever take her serious enough because of her demeanor. So even though she has invaluable knowledge of events about to transpire she rarely ever tells anypony about them because she already knows they are not going to believe her. However the fact that she knows they are never going to believe her means she is going to try even less to make them understand, thus making her zanier and harder to take serious.

 

Animation errors = Changelings: Already made a thread about this, basically I have this head canon that changelings are infiltrating among the background ponies and can be spotted via animation errors. "Known Changelings" include Cheerilee, Diamond Tiara, Caramel, and others. 

 

Ponysona's are "canon" = Pony world is actually in an alternate dimension and every living human has had a pony equivalent of themselves in the pony world, though not necessarily at the same time.

Just look at the Crystal Castle. The first time I saw it, I thought STARSHIP! I may have been influenced by a classic episode of Doctor Who though. In the Tom Baker episode "The State of Decay" (1980) the Vampire's ancient castle turned out to be the starship that brought them to the planet thousands of years ago.

 

Take a good look at the Crystal Castle though. It looks seriously techie.

I only have one favourite headcanon.

 

Alicorns are immortal/semi-immortal: Well, it may not be truly canon, but still. I like the idea of immortality and its consequences, so seeing fanfics regarding Twilight's immortality is always nice.

mine would be a mix of two theorys/ideas.

the first beeing that scootaloo would be the daughter of bigmac and fluttershy. considdering her colors and the fact that pegasi might have lighter bones than earthponys to fly, thus causing a hybrid to only be able to partially fly, this is a neat theory.

the second is basically the end of the story "how to preen your chicken" SPOILERS in which RD adopts scoots.
