Anyone wanna play Terraria? I started playing again now that 1.3 is out, and I got a server. (Though you should make a new character if you wanna join my server)

expert worlds get tougher if more people join so be sure to decide if you want you wanna to take that risk to make it challenging in co-op play. If you asked me why, the more people joins in multiplayer, the tougher the bosses get.

I wish i can play with anyone here, but expert hardmode world is getting me best and been dying a lot lately and made a quite a lot of mess with my deaths.

There may be a lot of bugs on this version you guys so be careful when encountering. I did find one of the bugs though and it killed me.

I hate how the developers keep buffing Moon Lord because people 'Cheese' him by using cheap tactics.

People would set up a 2 tile wide pool of honey, with campfires, heart lamps, and heart statues on a one second timer. They would have skeletons spawn and do only 1 damage, but the invincibility period would stop you taking damage from the Moon Lord. The worst thing about it is there is an accessories that increases the invincibility period to 2 seconds, meaning you would never take damage from the Moon Lord, only the skeletons that do 1 damage and spawn every second.

On top of this, the campfires, heart lamps, honey, and heart statues would regenerate your life so quickly that you're basically invincible.

As a tip to the devs, I would probably make the regeneration from heart lamps, campfires, and honey less effective in Expert mode. It would make it impossible to cheese bosses on Expert.

My Hardcore run is going very smoothly. I just moved up to a treehouse base, and made houses around the side. Now I just have to fix the top and it will be complete.

Also, I love the Cultist armor, it makes me feel like a badass.

I love Terraria! ^_^ I have 415 hours... XD

I'm trying not to play the latest update too much, because I usually play with my hubby, but it's so hard not to do all the stuff! :P

I enjoyed my time playing Terreria on 360. My file somehow got corrupted and scrambled my game world, destroying my giant glass tower. I wouldn't mind getting back into it but I would want to play online and I don't have Xbox Live nor a PC. It's not available for Mac.

I'm not a medical expert, psychologist, psychiatrist, teacher or love doctor. Take my words with a pinch of salt, yeah?

I am an experienced cook, musician and care worker though, so that's something.

The problem is that the Moon Lord is pretty much impossible to beat solo without resorting to cheesing him, especially in Expert Mode. He moves too fast, hits too hard, and has way too much HP. On top of that, class archetypes are severely imbalanced. Melee characters are gods up until the Moon Lord fight at which point they are useless against him. They also are forced into a tanking spec and do have any any endgame DPS options for armor. Rangers are too good, even after the Phantasm nerfs. Mages are WAY too tanky for the amount of damage they pump out. Summoners are useless.

I love Terraria, and the game is a lot of fun, but Re-Logic is absolutely atrocious at balancing their game.

Ain't much I can do but I do what I can, But I'm not a fool there's no need to pretend

And just because you got yourself in some shi-, It doesn't mean I have to come deal with it

Ain't much I can do, but I do what I can, But what can I do if I do till it's gone?

I totally agree with you, but I think as the final boss, the Moon Lord should be a real challenge, even for experienced players. Re-Logic needs to either change the boss fight, or the healing mechanics of the game, since just changing the specific 'Cheese' will have players create new ways of cheesing.

For those having trouble with Moon Lord:

- Rod of Discord helps a bunch, especially with the lasers

- Even if you're a non summoner, use the Stardust Dragon, even for just 1 summon

- Get all the combat buffs possible. Not just potions, but lamps and even NPCs too.

- Don't stop moving, ever. Mobility is key in most boss fights. Get a Shield of Cthulhu in there too.

- Star Veil/Cross Necklace helps with his health debuff

I don't have much to complain about, since I've almost always used ranged. Although summoner shouldn't be too hard, just let the minions do the work and dodge his attacks with lots of mobility items.

I've sunk so many hours into the 1.3 update. 200 more, in fact.

Damn, it is so good.

They didn't nerf the heart statues for the moon lord fight so you guys are probably good on using the heart statues.

  • The final boss's leech debuff has been overhauled...  (1.3.0.3)
  • Moon Bite duration has been reduced by 1 second in expert mode and 3 seconds in normal mode. (1.3.0.5)
  • The final boss' attacks now use their own cooldown for immunity due to how naughty some of our players have been. ;) (1.3.0.6)

Its not the heart statues, it's the invincibility counter that was changed with spikes and lava, and the Moon Lord itself. Heart statues aren't getting nerfed anytime soon, but if the developers want to stop people from cheesing, they will have to change the way health regeneration works from heart lamps and honey.

This is one of those games I had a really tough time getting into at first. I was obsessed with Minecraft so going into this one, I wanted to play it like Minecraft and that is a huge mistake. Once my brother explained the basics and whatnot to me and how the game works, I am actually really enjoying it. I have the Xbox One, got it during the Ultimate Game Sale for a great price. :3 I hope to play it more if I can, it is definitely one of those games that is best with others.

1.3 Was a great update :). I've played 50 Hours of Terraria by myself just because Terraria has a more satisfying experience when you defeat every boss without help. But online can still be very fun if you play with the right people  :)

It took me a little while, but I've only just got into it recently but damn does it have me hooked. It's loot based RPG approach to the open world sandbox is a really interesting blend that works very well. I played so much of it at one point my hand actually started to get severe cramps(I blame my crappy mouse mostly, but i digress).

Man, did all I could do so far. Now I have to wait for 1.4 version for consoles. I was considering making my own pony themed world by hand, but decided to start over with Journey Mode. Seems more practical in the end
