Pony Meditation Postures

I'm thinking about drawing a pony in a meditation pose but without a clue as to how to pull it off -- especially with pony legs... I did look up a couple of meditation pics. I found this to be closer to what I am looking for but the robes make it unclear as to the details of the positioning of their legs.

 

 

So... any tips?

Well I'm not sure if it would be the same but we have seen Zecora meditate in the past. Once when she was balancing on her head and once more on one leg.

I know but that's too extreme for my purposes. Like I said, the closest one I found that I'm looking for is in the pic I posted but the robes make it hard to really see the detail in which their legs are positioned...

Well you asked for examples and that's the closest the show has gotten to meditative positions. If you want, you could get a bit more creative. Use auras or other effects to give the impression of meditation and internal power. Think of Twilight standing on water with bubbles circling around her. Zecora was instructing her in a kind of zen fashion but Twilight was still standing. 

 

I must confess, I am curious as to what you are depicting to have ponies meditating as I do frequently engage in the activity myself.

It's for depicting a habit of my OC Morning Solitude who's just starting out on this journey. Or if the timeline is in his backstory, he'd likely be accompanied by his dear friend and mentor Snow Perch.

I have thought of this myself. I thought the best way was on the haunches like my MLP bank. But I really like the depiction in the first pic.
