I personally love all those genres, and wanted to see if anyone else liked them to

So I’ll start

Black Ivory- Mainline

A classic Disco song, played in places like the Paradise Garage nightclub, with legendary DJ Larry Levan

Double Exposure- Everyman

Another classic Disco track from the Salsoul orchestra and on Salsoul records

@@Envy I love that Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose song: not heard it before you posted it  :)

THP Band- Good To Me

Recently this funky Disco number was brought back when Duck Sauce sampled it in there version of the song called Goodie Two Shoes.

Johnnie Taylor- What About My Love?

Another song which was sampled into a House track, the introduction to this one formed the basis of The Shapeshifters- Lolas Theme which got to #1 in the charts back in 2004.

The original from 1981 is a slow, R&B/soul song and when I first heard it I didn’t like it I thought it was really boring. But as time passed, I changed my mind about it. I think the orchestration is just amazing and I think the lyrics are sad but beautiful.

The theme song to the original S.W.A.T TV-series (1975) is very groovy, imo.  B)

Let alone the original SHAFT theme.

Can't forget about this one. That Jazz bit at the beginning though...oh my god I wish that were a full song in itself! XD

And that one, that is one of my favorite songs of all time. The way that it goes from singing to having those radical guitars is mind blowing imo. Classic for sure. Plus it makes me think of chase scenes in the 70's which always have that 'bawchickabawchicka' noise and it makes me laugh so hard XD

Forgot to add that one, that song is so goooood! Makes me want to just put a bunch of mouse in my hair and style the crap out of it and get in a convertible and just drive around for a day.

Yeah, it's really nice, isn't it? It's sort of a hidden gem as it's not one of the songs the group is known for. But after adoring "Too Late To Turn Back Now" for quite some time I decided I wanted to explore the group's music further and that's when I ran into that song.

I'm not the type who dances or anything, but this type and era of music is like the one kind of music that makes me want to dance. xD I belong with my parents' generation. *sigh*
