What Do You Do When You Need To Scream?

If I have my trombone around, I'll play very aggressively with it, and might play Mars by Holst.

If that's not around, I'll listen to.. Aggressive concert music then (not metal).

Typically I just get the most rotten look on my face, sending the message clearly without being too dramatic about it. Lol.

I'll do one of a few things: I'll either pace a lot, grit my teeth, rage internally, swear, punch something (and hope that it doesn't break), or shake my head.

I hardly ever feel like I need to scream , but when I do usually I'll go for a long run... unless it's really hot out, then I'll go swim some laps instead. Basically, exercising tends to help me.

Oooo, goodie. A fellow exercise lover!

Do you by any chance box or do martial arts?

What do you do when you feel the need to scream and yell for whatever reason? Do you go for walks, chat about it, hit things, take it out on others, listen to music, etc?I personally go for a drive in my car, turn up my extreme metal bands louder than usual, maybe speed a little bit or drive more erratic (not angrily), or as a last resort, I scream. In my car of course.

I don't scream...pretty simple so I'll just leave it like this...

When I get really angry at something I'll try to stay away from social interaction to prevent myself snapping at whomever I'm interacting with. To calm myself down I'll just try to get my mind off of it by listening to music, watching TV or playing a game of some sort, it usually calms me down. I don't really scream, I always hide all of my emotions and have gotten pretty good at it.

I wouldn't resort to screaming since that doesn't feel like that's really necessary or something I'd do. When I'm that frustrated however, I either take it out on video games or when that's not available, I isolate myself and swear up a storm. Usually avoiding contact with people until I feel better again, but it takes me a while to be decent again.

In a really soft/slightly hoarse voice, swear profusely at whatever is causing me to be so angry as if I were *actually* yelling.

I'll sometimes also hurt myself involuntarily in my rage, due to me not really thinking.

Well, I can't say I get a specific urge to scream, I just get very frustrated, and usually the way I express said frustration, is either my venting somewheres, getting ticked off at the next thing that's big enough to burst my top(doesn't take much really.) and possibly going off, yelling, arguing, cursing, whatever. Something to that effect usually.

That or it just stays in, and may turn to depressed feelings, or self hatred, although even if I do release it through yelling at others or something, i usually end up feeling guilty and bad for myself anyways.
