technology Computer Boot Help

Recommended Posts

Well, I was not smart for this one.

While messing with my partitions, I accidentally set my primary partition as the one that isn't the boot drive.

To pile onto that, my computer doesn't have any recovery times set.

The primary partition is not big enough to download the OS from the installation CD.

So, I reach out to you guys, my friends.

Is there any way I can fix this mess?

I'll mention the obligatory "windows recovery disk" response. If you have your windows installation disk, you can repair your windows install through the automated repair option.

Otherwise, the only other option really is to download a live cd of some Linux distribution, boot into it and manipulate your partitions from there using gparted. You don't need to install it, just run it right from the CD. It might be difficult getting your hands on one though considering the situation...

I don't know if there's a way to go through the bios to fix it... There might be, but I've never done it
