So far, Apple Bloom, Pinkie Pie and Babs Seed are the taken canon characters. We don't have anyone playing Sweetie Belle, Diamond Tiara or Silver Spoon. Scootaloo is tentatively being played by Storm Shine.

Regarding the RP though, i think it can just be moved onwards like nothing happened. Imagine that his OC ran off or make a small notice of that using his characters as NPC's in the like of *Oh crap, forgot something back home!* then back on the train.
