Hearing what Blitz had to say about what the last bomb did, Babs picked up one of the blue apples and bit into it.

 

"That's good at least," she said, in between bites. "I don't think it affected the taste anyway."

 

"Not that we'd taste ourselves to see if the paint washes off," Sundae chuckled.

 

"Well, I think that's the entire orchard," Apple bloom beamed. "Let's check ourselves for cutie marks!"

Grey looked at Storm, "Hey Dad, mind helping me get the color stuff off?" He asked. Storm chuckled and raised his wings, before bringing them down really hard. *Whoosh!* In a large burst of air, all the coloring from the bug-bomb flew off of Grey. Grey smiled and quickly turned to look for a Cutie Mark. "Aaaawww man~... No Cutie Mark here...." He said with clear disappointment. "Don't worry Grey, I'm sure you'll find your Cutie Mark soon enough!" Storm encouraged with a smile, pulling Grey and Pinkie into a big hug.

"Uhuh, just 'cause the bug spraying didn't do it, there's no end to thing that can be tried! Same for you two, if nothings there."

 

She looked at Grey first, then over at Sundae and Brownie, then back at Storm.

 

"Think you can make a big whoosh more so we can all be normal colour again? Pretty please?"

 

Blitz had a glimmer in her eye when she asked Storm about it. He seemed to have done well with Grey, so it was likely the fastest way to do things instead of finding a lake and then see if it'd go off after a bit, and if it hadn't helped, that just meant that they could go explore new things for the CMC branches and see if when the day was over, they would have a sparly new mark on the side. Would be fun.

Storm chuckled, "Of course Blitz, no problem." He responded with a friendly smile. "I'm going to do it on three... Ready? One, two, three!" Storm brought his wings down quickly on the count of three, blowing all of the extra color off of Blitz before proceeding to do the same thing to Sundae and Brownie.

"Thanks, Storm!" Brownie and Sundae shouted in unison after checking their coats.

 

"We're blue again!" Sundae exclaimed.

 

"Yeah," Brownie said, "but neither of us got our cutie marks."

 

"That's okay," Sundae reassured her twin before turning to the rest of the group. "So, what do you think we should do now?"

 

"There's still lots of stuff, Sundae," Apple Bloom replied. "How about we all go to the clubhouse and brainstorm?"

Grey hopped onto Storm's head, "To the idea spot!" He declared, pointing towards the CMC clubhouse. Grey jumped off of Storm's head, flying off towards the clubhouse though he kept low to the ground, "Race ya!" He called back happily. "Oh it's on!" Scootaloo declared, buzzing her wings and speeding after him on her scooter. "Anypony need a ride?" Pinkie offered, gesturing towards herself and Storm with a small smile. "They do have quite the head start, and I won't fly if you don't want.." Storm added with a grin.

"Racing to the clubhouse? Heh, sounds like fun! Meep Meep."

 

With that, Blitz grabbed the pouch the bombs had been in between her teeth and ran off towards the clubhouse, trying to catch up to the two others. It was unlikely that she was gonna reach them before they reached the clubhouse since she was on hoof and they were flying/driving, but if they stopped up or something she might have a chance seeing as she wasn't exactly walking.

 

When she would reach the clubhouse she would, as usual, have some issues stopping right away and was too excited at the sight of the closed box outside the clubhouse Briar had helped her bring there before to start thinking of slowing down in time, so she would try, slide a metre or so, trip over either a branch or a rock (hard to see when running) and tumble with a roll a little past the box and into the tree the clubhouse was at.

 

If anypony was there when she arrived, they would hear a thud from her hitting the tree/see her roll into it before the filly grew silent where she was, which was currently with her back against the tree, upside down and looking like the world was spinning a bit for her. She would stay like this for a few minutes before she snapped out of it again.

"Hey! Wait for us!" Brownie and Sundae called together as the gang rushed toward the clubhouse.

 

"Figures it's on the other side of the orchard, too," Babs said, panting as she tried to keep up.

 

"All right, everypony. No pest control cutie marks so there's gotta be sometin' else." Apple Bloom ushered everybody inside. The clubhouse wasn't spacious with all the ponies inside but it still had enough room for the foals and the few adults to converse together.

"Soo...." Grey began, "Anypony have any ideas?" He asked curiously. "Well.." Storm spoke up, "I could see if there's anything inspirational in my stuff.." He suggested thoughtfully. "You ponies keep brainstorming, and I'll be right back!" Storm told everypony else before diving into his saddlebags, which began moving around and bulging outward randomly. "Ooo~ That looks like fun!" Pinkie exclaimed, bouncing over to the bag "Incoming Stormy!" She called, doing a cannonball into the saddle-bags.

"There's gotta be something neither of us have done," Babs said.

 

"Pony cannonballs?" Brownie suggested after watching Storm and Pinkie dive into the seemingly endless saddlebag.

 

"Tried that." Apple Bloom shook her head. "We're lucky Pinkie's party cannon didn't send us all the way to Dodge Junction."

 

"Milking cows?" Sundae asked.

 

"No offense," Apple Bloom motioned to her cousin and the twins. "But I don't reckon you city foals can handle somethin' like that. Our cows are very temprama...temp-temupra..." Apple Bloom stumbled on the big word her granny liked to use before changing gears. "They're finicky."

 

"None taken," Sundae replied with slight deadpan.

 

"Mystery writing?" Babs shrugged.

Grey sat on the thinking spot with a hoof to his chin, "Hmm..." He hummed. Meanwhile, a few random objects started flying out and landing next to the bag: Muffins, a plunger, a bundle of clouds, a couple of carrots, a watermelon, a pineapple, a few apples, a sink, a plethora of colorful plastic balls (Like from a ball pit), and a mini-trampoline. "I'm sure there's gotta be something in here..." Was heard from the bag. "Don't worry Stormy, we'll find something! Ooo~, we haven't looked over there yet!"

"Bah, stupid grinder..."

 

Blitz wandered inside the clubhouse, sneezing a few times, then settled near the others.

 

When the world had stopped spinning for her she had dived into the crate outside looking for the cupcake Storm had given her earlier while the others went inside. She had gotten a little peckish and remembered putting it in there for later, though not really Where in there.

 

It had taken her a minute or two to find it, and when she had she had lost her balance trying to get it and had fallen into the spare grinder she used for situations like the blue grass she needed powdered on the run. It wasn't something Heavy or anything, just a simple, hard-word set of them, but the smaller crates inside this keeping the half-volatile stuff from eachother made it stand very well and... Well... Her skull wasn't the metallic part of her.

 

It hadn't been hard enough to give her a bump on the head or anything, but it had still hurt in the moment, and worst of all, had made her fall head-first into the cupcake. Sure, she had eaten Some of it before impact, so it wasn't like, splattered all over the place, but it had taken her a while to get the stuff off her face anyway, and she still couldn't shake some of the sprinkles in her mane.

 

Oh well, she was there now, time to stop focusing on head injuries and on this meeting that was about... Uhm... Right! The cutie marks and stuff.

 

"You tried skydiving? Racing? Woodchopping? Blacksmithing? Oh! Or perhaps even st-"

 

Further she didn't get before the tossed out water melon decided that gravity sounded like a fun thing and went down over her head with a slightly squishy sound.

 

Letting her legs go under her from the surprise, some muffled sounds could be heard from the insides as she tried to get the sizeable green fruit of her head, pushing at it with her hooves. Or well, she did for a bit anyway, until she just stopped and the muffled sound went over into chewing instead. Seemed like she was trying to eat her way out of this since she couldn't pull it off. Or she was peckish again. Or something third. It was hard to tell, although it had been a combination of the first and second last time this happened.

 

Sure, that had been during her and Stormy's short-lived prank war (until the mayor went boring and stopped it), but the end was the same: Stormy had landed her inside a fruit again. Though there was a difference in less giggling here this time she would grant that.... And okay, she wasn't planning on what to grab randomly and fire at him this time either. Oh, and there was less banana peels, but other than that, totally the same.

 

((OOC I'll change this if it isn't to your liking Storm. Just fits Blitz to be accident prone and melon dropping is a classic.))

Storm and Pinkie tossed out a bag of flour, before there was an 'Ah-ha!' heard from the bag.

 

Storm jumped out of the bag but landed on the colorful plastic balls and slipped, which sent him falling onto the mini-trampoline, which then bounced him into the air, from which he fell face-down onto the bag of flour which exploded. Storm stood up coughing slighty, now completely white with two of the carrots in his mouth like fangs. Pinkie hopped out of the bag before she promptly fell over laughing after seeing him.

 

"S-Stormy, you should see yourself!" she laughed. Storm looked down at his hoof and promptly shook himself free of the flour before eating the carrots. "Alrighty then, like I was saying.... How about musical cutie marks!?" Storm suggested, pulling out his guitar and using his wings to play a quick riff. "I just thought of it while in my saddlebags..."

Grey clapped his hooves, "Awesome!" He exclaimed.

"I wonder what a cutie mark for being a klutz would look like," Babs said, rolling her eyes at Blitz.

 

"Hey, you kinda look like Angel Bunny now!" Apple Bloom chuckled at Storm.

 

"Who?" Brownie and Sundae asked together.

 

"Fluttershy's pet rabbit," Apple Bloom replied. "He's quite the handful. Back on track." She then turned to the rest of the group and said, "Anything else we can try?"

 

"Bakers?" Brownie suggested.

 

"Detectives?" Sundae followed.

 

"Security guards?" Babs went on.

 

"All pretty good," Apple Bloom nodded. "Boy howdy! I reckon we should at least get brainstormin' cutie marks!"

After a bit more chewing, Blitz tried once more to get the melon off her head, pushing with all four legs and with a pop, her head was free. And the melon rolled out of the door. Well, hopefully it wouldn't hit anypony out there.

 

Blitz's head where a slight red/pink with seeds all over the sticky exterior covering her like a layer of half-melted plastic. She rubbed the worst from her eyes and opened to look at everypony again. It was gonna be a mess to get this out of her coat and mane, and she knew it, but right now it was too late already, she might as well just try to move on, and... And...

 

A rising giggle made it's way through her when she saw how Storm now looked. She didn't get to see much before he shook it off, but... He kinda looked like a veggie vampire when it was. Perhaps of a parsnip branch? Hehe.

 

"T-That sounds *hehe* Good."

 

Her brain was somewhat blank of ideas currently, or more specifically, redirected for the time being. She might have something to add to the brainstorm, just not... Well, right now.

Storm looked over at Blitz, "Wow Blitz, what happened to you? Want me to get a raincloud for ya?" He asked curiously. "How about swimming Cutie Marks? Or Scuba-diving? Racing? Drawing? Sculpting? Item-finding?" Grey fired off suggestions rapidly, hoping to find one that everypony else would agree with.

"Well, we all seem to like racing," Apple Bloom shrugged. "I reckon if we win come kind of competition, we can get our cutie marks."

 

"We'd have to do something aside from seven-legged races," Babs said. "Anypony can do that."

 

"How about an Iron Foal competition?" Apple Bloom beamed.

 

"A what?" Brownie and Sundae asked together.

 

"You know, Iron Pony except for ponies our age," Apple Bloom explained.

 

"Can't be any worse than when we tried to get our cutie marks by performing circus acts," Babs sighed.

 

"I thought you'd never bring that up," Brownie groaned.

"Why don't you all just try entering this?" Storm asked, holding up a flyer entitled: 'Foal Fun Run Race'. "They hold one every so often, and it's free. First prize isn't anything too big, a blue ribbon and some pocket money... But it IS a race." Storm said with a smile. "Just pocket money?! Stormy, they give like a hundred bits to the first place winner! Do you know how many mugs of apple cider I could buy with that?! DO YOU?!?" Pinkie exclaimed, holding the stallions face between her hooves. "Uh.. Yeah Pinkie, I do. But I also have all the cider I need, and I don't use or need money that often.. You know that..."  Pinkie blinked, letting go of his face, "Oh yeah... I forgot." She giggled. "You're totally rich anyways! Saving up all that money, Canterlot better watch out!" Pinkie told him playfully. Storm chuckled, shaking his head. "I'm not that rich Pinkie. I don't place a lot of value in money anyways, everypony know friendship and happiness is way better to have."

Blitz nodded at the idea of the raincloud, but didn't say anything more as it was more important right now to think about how the CMC could get their cutie marks. She'd still be covered in melon bits later, but the brainstorming was now. Much more important to focus on.

 

When Storm brought up the race she looked at the flyer with the others and got big eyes.

 

"Oooh. Grey, you need to be in that one. You're really fast and could totally ace the field I bet."

 

She didn't think about joining uo herself. First off, Grey were way faster than her. Second off, much like Storm she didn't put much value in money. She made her stuff from things she found in the woods and trash, and ate mostly things from around her home too. What she did use bits on were mostly cupcakes and the occasional apple, and what amount of bits she earned from the ponies that once in awhile came by to get some fireworks were more than enough for that sort of thing.

 

Besides, she liked to compete on a more casual level, like with the race to the clubhouse before. A real race like that wasn't her type of thing, and she wanted to cheer on her friends more than being against them anyway.

Grey shrugged, rubbing his left foreleg with his right, "I don't know..." He said hesitantly. Scootaloo laughed, "Are you kidding? Of course he's going to join! And I'm joining the race too." She playfully pushed Grey a bit. "But don't expect me to go easy on you just because you're my friend." Scootaloo told him with a grin. Grey blushed slightly before nodding, glancing at Scootaloo occasionally. "Okay... Yeah, I'll join." He said confidently, a small smile on his muzzle. 

 

(OOC: If anypony wants to have anypony notice the crush he has, go ahead. Same goes for hints dropped with Scootaloo... Up to you whether or not to use this information for anything. )

Brownie, Sundae and Babs looked at each other at the idea of entering a hoof-race. At their sizes, they knew they were unlikely to win any medals but they could at least share the consolation of hopefully getting a cutie mark together.

 

"I'm not really that athletic," Babs admitted. "But I'll try it out, too. What harm can it do?"

 

"I reckon you'll know how to run on your own, Babs," Apple Bloom told her.

 

"So, when's the race, Storm?" Sundae wanted to know.

Storm looked at the flyer, "Let's see.... It says here... Ah, there it is! It says the race is in a couple hours, but sign-ups are to be held until a half-hour before the race starts." He informed them. "So there's plenty of time! We'll just have to get to the racetrack and get you little ponies signed up!" Pinkie exclaimed. "Alright!" Scootaloo cheered. "Cool!" Grey said with a smile, glancing over at Scootaloo and blushing slightly.

"I didn't know we were going to be doing any running today," Brownie said. "Do you think we should train first?"

 

"I reckon it really shouldn't matter if we win or lose," Apple Bloom told him. "Just as long as we race and get our cutie marks in the process."

 

"We've got an hour in the half, Cousin." Babs told her. "We just have to try."

 

"All right!" Apple Bloom exclaimed. "Let's all do this! On three, everypony!" She raised her hoof and the rest of the blank flanks in the crowd followed as she counted and led the cheer, "One! Two! Three! Cutie Mark Crusader Foal Fun Racers! Yay!"

"YAY!/YAY!" Scootaloo and Grey cheered. "Good news!~"  Pinkie chirped, "I just signed you all up! Just got back from the booths!" She told the foals before pulling out little number cards. "Here you go! These are the identification-whatsywhosits that they gave me to give to you and told me to tell you that you need to wear it so that they know that you were signed up!" Pinkie explained, handing out the cards. (Like the 'Young Fliers' competition, with the numbers over the spot their cutie marks would be in.)

 

"Cool, I got a number 1! Like Rainbow Dash!" Scootaloo informed the others. "I got a 2! Even numbers Rock!" Grey commented(Sorry, I wanted them to match. ) . "I got a 6! Yes!" Storm exclaimed. "Dad, you're not even in the race! 'Foal' Fun, remember...?" Grey reminded the blue pegasus. "I'm not? Oh yeah~... I guess this must be one of yours then!" He said before pulling the number off and handing it to the Crusader nearest to him, which happened to be Applebloom.

 

(OOC: I guess I'll be playing Sweetie Belle again, since Wintersnaps(Now called ~Ponyocalypse~) seems to be done here... But if they come back(Or get on here... I don't think I remember them making a post on the actual RP...), they can play Sweetie Belle again(?)..)

(OOC: I'm fine with that. I didn't want to overdo it with the canon characters. If she wants to be Sweetie Belle or if someone else wants to, that's fine with me since we haven't heard from her yet.)

 

"Oh," Brownie said, looking at his number. "For a moment there I thought I just got a cutie mark shaped like a plot."

 

"No, Brownie," Babs told him, trying her darnedest not to crack up. "That's a 3. It's your number in the race. Your sister has 4 and I have 5."

 

"I guess that means Sweetie Belle has 7," Apple Bloom said, watching her friend receive her number.
