Me: Googling 'is it illegal to pass a road closed sign'? (Answers: A. if it's a police sign [blue, white lettering], yes; B. construction zone sign [red, white lettering], not as such, but you could still be done with 'without due care and attention' if you get stuck or cause other problems; C. standard no 'motor vehicles' traffic sign [roundel =mandatory, red border, motorcycle & car symbols], yes.)
